I wouldn't go back to smoking even if e-cigs ceased to exist. I've worked too hard to quit at this point. This thread makes me think I should taper off my nicotine level just in case the worst happens.

How about joining CASAA and supporting them to whatever level you can, to help insure it doesn't happen.

I was planning on joining when I get paid this week :)

That's good to hear!! Joining is free, but they definitely appreciate whatever financial support we can give them as they are an all volunteer organization. And please add the CASAA banner to your posts to help others become aware of their efforts on our behalf.

Do you think you would go back to analogs, try an alternate nicotine replacement, or would you be able to just walk away from it cold turkey?

*sniff* why would you say something so mean?! DON'T LET THEM TAKE AWAY MY PV! I WONT LET THEM! NO! NO, NO, NO!

But seriously, if they did, I think I'd go back onto analogues...hence why I don't want them to take them away. I'm not ready to give up my nicotine just yet, even if I have dropped my nic levels!x

Another thing you can do is spread the word about e-cigarettes and the actual facts to friends, the local paper, anyone you meet. Since we are outnumbered in every way and have the government and big pharma working against us it's crucial to raise awareness in any way we can.

I don't know ! , i literally don't know !. What would you do jerzi ?
Not sure..I have quit cold turkey before with analogs. I ran 7 miles a day and lifted weights a lot, ate a better diet, kept myself busy. This was even before ecigs were on the market and probably the best I felt in my life. After awhile the triggers that set you off before really don't happen as much and they pass kind of easily. I really enjoy it and it would be ashame if it were taken away, but I can go without it for a day or two if I'm not just sitting around. Even when I smoked analogs, they really didn't affect me much, the nurse before my surgery said to me ..you smoke? I said yeah for like 18 years..she didn't believe me, said I had some of the best sounding lungs shes ever heard. Mainly I quit analogs because the price is ridiculous and didn't want to smell like an ashtray anymore. Also I found a mod I really enjoy.

I would love to say that I could walk away from them, but I know myself too well. I have tried all other replacement methods and all of them have negative side effects for me (some are really bad). I might last 1 to 2 months before I start sneaking a smoke from time to time but in no more than 4 I would be full blown smoking again not caring what anyone (including my family) would think. I just havent been off of analogs long enough to go without some form. I would try my damnedest though.

Now, Lets say e-cigs got banned, I would still continue to Vape, though it would be "illegal". Just like anything else that is outlawed or regulated there is always an underground and black market for it. Look at alcohol, drugs, and even tickets to events (scalping). So yeah in that case I would still vape, and if ever arrested and sent to court over it, I would bring a good dam lawyer that could point out that my illegal vaping is actually saving my life.
