If I get a harsh juice that makes me cough, should I decrease the PG or VG?

In another word, which causes the cough? It makes my throat tight. Thanks

I also noticed that mint flavored juice is easier on the throat for the same PG/VG ratio. Anyone else agrees?

What is the nic content of the juice you are using? What is the pg/vg ratio? Also too much air to vape ratio can make me cough.. I need more vape and the coughing all goes away. Too much air, no good for me..

as far as I know (researched a lot before) it's the PG causing the throat hit (feeling of tightness or even cough) and I can attest to that ... when I set voltage too high (over 4.2V on my ego c twist) I nearly cough vaping 80/20 ratio (pg/vg) of some 6mg nicotine flavor.
glad I took next shipment of 70/30 standard with 11mg nicotine, that should do. also wondering that it must make sense for some vendors to claim 50/50 ratio as standard.
I also read that pure 100% VG produces least of "smoke" effect, no throat hit and may reduce strength of flavoring.

Hi Feniks, the 100% VG produces the biggest "smoke effect" but yes it can mute flavor a little and is a much smoother throat hit. Some folk say it tastes a little sweet too. Still, it's a wonderful alternative to those who have issues with PG. Some vendors offer a true 100% VG also (the flavorings don't include PG either). Yes we're referring to a very small amount overall but for those who can't tolerate PG at all that's good news. Luckily there's something for just about everyone. :)

thanks for correcting me :) you are right, I double checked, VG gives the visible puff ;)

I agree, that is an awesome alternative to PG when it causes issues to some. so far it's OK with me at 80% level, but I am wondering if lack of PG maybe removes a kind of aftertaste I have or maybe that is from the flavor (Cheesecake Torte hehehe), not sure yet until I try another one later/tomorrow.

here's the info on PG/VG I was reading before:
What is Propylene Glycol?
