I have a grand and a mini and they compliment each other very well. I put my go to vape in the grand. I use my swap flavors in the mini. However when it comes to work I really am thinking I would be happier carrying two minis and two batts in my pouch. Sigh... That nickel with blue door was still on the site yesterday....

It's aircraft grade aluminum, You shouldn't have any problems with that. The plating will be more of an issue. You may want to check out anodizing processes to make sure you won't have any reactions. You can also get a clear powder coating done to cover the Reo if skin contact is still an issue.

I just checked on the process and don't see any form of nickel being used. So only the nickel coated Reo's are dangerous for you :)

I too am allergic to nickel and have had no problem with the Reo's I own though I had the same concern. I can't wear any jewelry less than 14 carat gold. Good luck whatever you choose. I like them both for different reasons.

can someone tell me what metal is used in the reo grands and mini's? This is going to sound strange, but i have recently found out that I am allergic to nickel. thanks! i am still trying to decide between the grand and mini.

I don't know, I have a full size Woodvil, a wood Mini, and several metal Minis. Despite the convenience of having the bigger battery in the Woodvil, and the fact that it looks great on my desk, I think I am a Mini gal. The size is perfect for my hand.

I have my grand, but like the size and feel of my mini better. I just carry and extra 14500. Would this make me a mini man?

Now that I think of it, I always need to pre shrink my underwear. :)

Not a pain at all to apply noalox. It is not extremely necessary I don't believe. I just do it because I thought it was and now I have a big bottle of it :D At one point I swabbed the noalox off my pin, took a hit, then reapplied some and took a hit. There was minimal difference, and what difference there was, was probably a trick of the brain :D Get a grand it is the logical choice if you already have a mini Woodvil

Is the regular grand much bigger than the mini? also is it a pain to have to apply the noalax? The woods do not need this applied right?

Here is a link to the measurements of the mods.

Here is a Grand...slightly smaller than a pack of cigarettes.

Here is where you apply the Noalox. With the battery removed, push down on the button. The body of the button, pushes the firing pin (a flat metal tab that is bent to a point on the end) down. The tip is where you apply a dab of Noalox with a toothpick.
