Correct, On that mod and truthfully all the other Woodvilles I own never leave the on position.

FB that just reminded me of a little story - my wife didn't turn her 18490 Lacewood off before putting it in her bag recently, the result was not pretty, it fired for a long time. The RM2 was pretty well toasted along with her $45 drip tip. The mod survived reasonably well, the top of it around the 510 was spattered with caramelized juice, some of which will have to stay there, the door buckled a bit (but has since returned to normal shape) and the 510 connector has now lifted and is slightly loose, which reminds me I need to pm Rob and find out the correct way of re-seating the 510 into a Woodvil. Other than that, all fine. I'm surprised it survived as well as it did. It runs a 1.8 ohm coil so that probably helped a bit. I waxed it today (as I do all the Woodvils once a week) and noticed the 510 being slightly loose. It could have been a nasty event, we were lucky.

Never flipped the switch to off in 3+ years of using woodvils every day ........

Maybe I should get off my .... and solder one to see if I notice any difference.

carrying in a bag would be a concern if you could not turn it off, I've not had a problem in my pockets

Okay ran into a snag today. Rob sent me an E-Mail saying the lace wood woodvil he was going to send me was cracked:(. Im a little disappointed but I understand things happen. How ever he said he had an ebony mini that he could send me witch is okay with me. I am unsure what size battery this little guy takes Im hoping its not 14500 or somthing like that as I like a slightly sub ohm build. I vape around .7-.5 . does anyone know the bat size in a mini woodvil ?

The Mini Woodvil does indeed take a 14500 battery. The Woodvil 18490 takes a 18490.

I really don't think you should vape below 1 ohm on any Woodvil. Someone might give the go ahead for somewhat lower but not much. It is because the firing button isn't rated for big time sub ohming. If .7 is your high side I'm not sure I would go there. I would wait on the mechanical Woods to come out and get one of those.

Thanks for the input. .7 is my average vary rarely do I go less than that.

I think I'm going to call Rob in the morning and tell him I will hold off. The 14500 is just not my cup of tee. I might find something on the classifieds I'm interested in.

I'd go to .7 but no lower on a 18650 Woodville. The switches are rated at a 12v volt constant load and we only pulse with 4.2 volt or lower load. the fire button is rated at 5 amps and the on/off is rate at 3 amps. And you can bypass the on/off switch with a drop of solder across the contacts.

To me the bigger concern is not the amp draw through the switch, but the heat transfer from the RBA to the wood, So I would not suggest chain vapping a sub 1 ohm coil on a Woodville.
