If vaping was as bad as smoking would you still vape?

Makes sense however, I thought about that, and then realized it was the SMELL that also made me want to quit smoking.

I remember when I smoked in the house (which I stopped doing years ago way before vaping) but lampshades and even some of my books were yellowed, and my clothing always smelled like smoke.

Just for THAT if both were equally bad, I would still choose vaping. :)

I did not factor in the negatives like how it makes you smell and turns your walls yellow , i was just talking from a pure satisfaction point of view..

If that stuff is included i would choose vaping as well , much much better in that regard.

I would not go back to smoking, but if they ever found vaping was near as bad, I wouldn't vape either.

I vape for harm reduction.

At any rate, I can't see how anything could be as bad for the total body as smoking. I know there are people who don't believe that, and that's fine. It's just that I feel differntly, I truly believe smoking negatively affects so many aspects of one's body in so many ways.

I agree 100%

I've noticed the longer I vape, the less I vape. Been off the smokes for a little more than a year. Definitely would never smoke again. I'll probably quit vaping in the next twelve months. Started with 24 mg, now I'm at 3-6 mg. Vaping just doesn't interest me as much as it did when I began, I can go eight hours without even thinking of taking a hit off the squonker. I do hope to help as many folks as possible quit smoking before I'm pushing daisies.

It's a shame this technology was not available 20-40 years ago, so many people died prematurely.

I remember saying to myself a million times, "This is the last pack I'm buying"....40 years later I found vaping and was able to stop smoking that day.

Just the smell of smoke nauseates me now. The smell of a dirty ashtray lingers in my mind, god-awful repulsive odor.

I agree.

Even after a week, the smell is amplified and bugging me. Unfortunately my wife can't stand vaping and still smokes. Not a ton, but enough.

I smoked a lot longer than her and just quit and switched to vaping ... Hard for me to be an anti smoking nazi with her yet!

I have been vaping for close to a year now and have enjoyed vaping a lot more than smoking cigarettes, but hypothetically if it turned out that vaping was as bad as smoking (Not that I think that will happen) would you still vape or go back to smoking cigarettes?

What I am basically trying to say is would you rather vape or smoke cigarettes if they were both as bad as each other?

Of course I'd still vape. It's a lot cheaper, I can do it indoors, and I have a lot invested in all my vape gear. BT won't be getting another dime outta me.

I've noticed the same. Partly it's because my Achilles doesn't run thru juice as fast as my kayfuns did, but it's such a big reduction, it seems I must just be vaping less, too -- from 6-8ml daily, to about 4ml daily. Even though I'm cutting down both my WTA and nic levels.

I think a lot of it is because it's been over a year since I quit, I don't go around with my vape clutched in my fist constantly. :D

IF vaping were as bad as smoking (it's not, but I'll play along) if it were I'd quit both.

I got into this now hobby at one point in my life because I was doing irreversible damage to my body. I found this and thanks to it I'm now alot healthier than I used to be. If it came down to both being equally as bad and I consumed the amount of nic I do now I'm fairly confident that I'd ween myself off vaping all together and move on.

Don't get me wrong I love this hobby! But if something is doing you bodily harm to the point where it could kill you... as much as I'd miss it I wouldn't kill myself over it.

Well, did we smoke because it was good? Nope, we smoked because we were addicted. I just swapped my addiction to vaping instead. Thank god for that. So the answer is, no, I won't stop vaping even if it's harmful to health. ...well, to a point, of course. If vaping is harmful as anthrax, oh I'm not touching it. But we know it isn't.
