I bought the YK1 rda from fasttech. I have been told it is a Cyclone clone. I dremeled out the center pin and cut a smidgen off the insulator to feed and drain. Really nice little atty. Only runs about $7. Of course being from fasttech it took about a month to get here. Have to say it is the best quality thing I have ever gotten from them. vaping 28ga at 1.1 ohm and bamboo wick.

Interesting. how bigs the default hole and is it only 1 hole?

It is only one. I would guess it is about 1 mm. Draws pretty similar to the RM2.

Your posts look to be ss from the pic, the one on FT shows brass. Hmm, but it's also only like 5.93 now.

I dremeled the center post and it is not stainless (nor is the negative) but I believe the rest of it is.

The posts are nickel-plated brass, the rest of it is SS. The volume of the chamber is smaller than a Cyclone, it is smaller diameter and slightly taller, but it looks similar (not identical) to a Cyclone, the swirly grooves are not as deep either. Great little atty, I have a few of them.

I really like the concave deck. Drains well and soaks the wick fully very quickly without flooding.

Along those lines I picked up a A6S bottom feeder from Desert Vapes for $6.95. Has a lip in the deck and a cap like an ERA. Comes with bottom air draw and no cap air hole. Just drilled the cap and really a nice vape for the $

That does look like a nice atty. I am torn on the thumb screws. Big thumbs and can't quite get them. Always end up using pliers. The yk1 I got has Allen screws which is not ideal for me either. I tried a few Phillips that I have around and they were too short. Will probably use the Allen screws until I lose the tiny wrench and then find some Phillips

that's a great price. how bad was it to drill?

a while back i bought an a6s and an a6 from somewhere and just put the a6 cap (which has the airhole) on the a6s.

i doubt mack meant to imply it was like a cyclone, but just another option for a cheap bf rda.

even if you go the lazy route like i did and buy an a6s and an a6 and swap caps, you have a nice fairly small chamber SS atty for 13 bucks, at these prices.

it ain't no rm2 (or cyclone) but what's not to like ?

a while back i bought an a6s and an a6 from somewhere and just put the a6 cap (which has the airhole) on the a6s.

Simple (used a drill press) took much longer to pick out the bit

Terrible o-rings on the base though, I've had to replace all of mine. Especially when bottom feeding it and liquid gets good and flooded in there, it comes pouring out of the original o-ring seals on the base.

It's marketed as a Cyclone clone in some shops, but it's more of an "homage" as it really doesn't look like one. The concave deck though is very much like a Cyclone.

Someone on another forum said that indeed their AFC cap fits on the YK1 base. I haven't verified that personally, but have seen pics of what was claimed to be a YK1 base, and an AFC cap snapping just fine on top of it and everything lining up (airhole height) nicely.

The o ring seem ok on mine. Fits really snug and so far no leaks.

ETA - to avoid any confusion, the earlier Igo-S like in this video had a brass post, the later ones have a stainless steel post. All of the cheapies I have so far gotten from FT have brass posts.
