I think his point about the CC coming out just last year was that these are not "ancient, outdated devices", as many have mistakenly said.

Asking for a Type-A isn't analogous to asking for a a 486 PC; it's more like asking for a 5200rpm HDD. Sure, not the height of tech, but still something a lot of people use and something that any computer store should know about and stock.

Ima leave this strand of this thread though, 'cause it's become pointless and I don't want mod to yell at me

Yeah, I've learned my lesson. sFi_stickwack.gif A mod yelling at you will get you a little star next to your member status (senior member*)

LOL.. I don't argue anymore :)

I started with an eGo T, on 4 November 2011. That model did not even have changeable atomizer heads. Yet, it was the best starter model at the time. - And I most certainly hope that none of the oh-so-knowledgeable new vapers have a problem with that :D

No problem at all.. Where'd that come from anyways? Still has no bearing on whether anybody 'must know' what a Type-A atomizer is, or that its 'the most popular product on the face of the earth'.

And I also repeat that customers cannot be expected to educate vendors.
Usually, it is the other way around. The vendor educates and advises the customer. It is called "customer service".
That is what customers pay money for, remember?
This I agree with.. Never said otherwise.

Me, I prefer my Samsung SSD.

Woah it's fast; like super fast. And I like my copper 26650 mech too; also very fast and powerful.

But that doesn't mean there's anything wrong necassarilly with a 5200rpm HDD, and it certainly doesn't mean a computer store can get away with not stocking or knowing about it,

Now that I agree with.. Just cause the industry and most new people have moved on to the latest craze, doesnt mean its 'old' or crap. In your analogy, it would be more like 'You want SSD! Spining discs are soo last year!' :)

OK.. go into ANY auto parts store and ask for ANY Audi part other than brakes/oil filter/air cleaner.. ANY part.. see how far you get :)

I don't own an Audi & probably never will. IF I did, my expectation would be either the auto parts store could conclusively tell me whether they could get my part or that they could not get me my part. I __reasonably__ expect that they would not throw a bag of old stuff on the counter and ask me to sift through to see if the contents of the bag contains the new part I'm looking for.

My life is so much better since upgrading.

This thing has a 3GB/sec read/write... so, for instance, my computer dry-starts, loads all programs including gadgets etc, in about 5 sec.
It can do 6GB/sec, but the motherboard on my 4yr old Thinkpad doesn't support it

There's a vape shop in my area that I like a lot.

It was started by someone who wasn't just trying to cash in; she started vaping and quit smoking after decades and was so excited about it that she decided to open a shop to help other people quit smoking too.

She doesn't know ANYTHING about mods or rebuildables. Her knowledge is pretty limited to starter kits, Provaris, and various tanks with replaceable coils. If someone asked her for a Type A atomizer she wouldn't know what they were talking about either. If he said "I need an atomizer for my eGo-CC" she would have been able to figure it out, but not by "Type A."

She's in the shop most of the time, but her son (a senior in high school) comes in in the afternoons and he's the one who does builds, sells the mechs, etc.

If someone had treated her the way the OP treated the people in this shop, with such sarcasm and snark and condescension, and I was there, I probably wouldn't have been able to NOT tell him that he was being a jerk.

Not everyone's looking to "cash in." A lot of these shops are being opened by former smokers who want to try to help others. They will learn.

LOL.. You would think. I've gotten the wrong part many, many times from different places.

Precisely. It is called customer service. And yes, customers do expect customer service when they walk into a store.

I doubled my RAM at the same time. Was like getting a new computer (especially since I decided to put a fresh copy of Win7 on it instead of migrating).

Get one.

Always funny how people will try to sell the fastest/greatest CPU and totally ignore that what you most likely need is an upgrade in Memory or HD. Most times people are so lacking in these departments that the simple act up doubling your memory will make it seem you have a new computer entirely.

Joyetech electronic cigarette, Tank System, Changeable System, eCom, eMode, eGo-CC, eVic, eRoll, eGo-C, eGo-T, 510-T, e-Liquid

Joyetech's products. MANY vapers start off with them, or similar products, MANY use them as primary or secondary vape gear.
I'll go out on a limb here and say eGos or the look-a-likes are usually the next step for someone who starts with cig-a-likes. We don't just wake up one morning, decide to become a vaper, and buy a Reo, ProVari and a Kayfun.

I dare say the "eGo" line, and Joyetch products (and brands of similar products) are part of the "learning curve".
Just because someone has never heard of a "type A" atomizer head, doesn't mean there aren't many people who use them. Instead of criticizing the OP that he's using "outdated" products (WTH?), bone up on your vape knowledge. I'm not the first, and definitely not the last vapor that has a drawer full of eGo related products.

precisely. Very well said indeed

Oh, and of course I use the eGo type products. Keeping the eGo T atomizers for a rainy day, using the eGo CC once in a while, but the batteries are definitely in use. In my home country, "eGo Type" is used to describe batteries. Then you know that those will fit most atomizers. Not what I would call "outdated". On the contrary :)

Man though I wish I had. When my brother in law wanted to move from his Blu, which he hated and couldn't quite analogs with, I put him onto a Provari and a Nautilus.

It took me a couple hundred dollars before I was somewhere around there, since moved on again. I haven't touched my eGo stuff to use myself in quite a while. Although I did move to rebuildables and mechs much sooner than most.
