I would have done more research and looked around more at options. Don't get me wrong, I started with the ubiquitous EVOD kit on a friend's recommendation and it worked wonders (Still works like a charm) but I ended up paying about $20 more than I needed to for it because I took their word for it without doing my homework. Same with relatively expensive juice that ended up not working for me and left me at a loss and a little discouraged. Research, research, research!

Other than doing it sooner, I don't think I would have changed much, if anything. I went from an eGo clone starter kit with CE4 clones to Kanger Evod 2 tanks....to a Vision Spinner II....to Kanger Aerotanks....to a Vamo V5....with a lot of juice sampling mixed in. Most of my flavor sampling has been at B&M's with one or two 'misses' once I got the bottle home, but the majority has been with online vendors that seemed popular and respected here on the forum.

On THAT note, any new vaper asking this question on this forum has already taken the most important first step - joining the forum and engaging. :thumb:

If I had it to do over again I would have paid attention to those advising me to get an Eroll. I took advice on Joye Ego Cs and clearos as well as on a Vamo which sits in a backup drawer but I ignored Eroll advise because I saw so many people bash "cigalikes" and thought it fell into that category. I was soooo wrong. There's NO comparison to other products with a similar form factor. I finally broke down and got one when I couldn't make it over the 5 or 6 smokes a day hurdle. Now the Eroll takes the place of those.

the only thing I would have changed is I would have gotten unflavored liquid first. so I could vape that while I searched for flavors I liked. but I don't think many people were doing that when I started. turns out that is my favorite "flavor"

there were no B&Ms (at least not within 100 miles of me) when I started so online was the only choice

I do not regret starting with cig a likes and egos.........in fact, I still use them and like them lots. fortunately I'm old and I don't really care what people think about that lol

When I started vaping I used an e-roll, it got me through the first 5 months and in my opinion is a first class product, the pcc is damn cool looking too. :)

The one thing I would have done differently is not stocking up on things (especially juices) before I really found the "right" thing. It's so exciting when you finally kick the smoking habit, and your tastes and preferences change so quickly at the beginning, that you typically end up with a cabinet full of stuff gathering dust. But that cabinet full of stuff still helped me find my go to devices and flavors.

This! Thankfully I have been able to pass a lot down to my son.

Still too new in the journey to have any regrets on do overs.
Grateful to have stopped; still use cigalikes, evods, etc.
Enjoy coil building, DIY, and learning.
Also grateful that I could resist the 'shiny' urge. Let my friends spend their money,
listen to them ..... and moan, then scratch it off my list.

When they buy a new toy that doesn't work, I THANK them with a small bottle of juice.
No one has caught on yet as to why I do it...

If I had done it over I would've skipped everything I bought and got the segelie 20w, and kayfun clone. I haven't touched a single one of my mods since I picked uo the set up. Learning how to initially build on this thing was a nightmare with lots of wasted juice but once I got the hang of it I havent looked back.

I also would've not wasted all the money I put into my ekowool and gone straight to cotton :D
