Though I'm sure all of us would not have picked up that 1st analog, I'm refering to the e-cig.
I'm a huge fan of my 510 and how it has help me quit smoking completely but if I had known then what I do now, I probably would have spent my money in different ways.

I probably would stick with the 510 atty but invested in a "Chuck" or some other battery friendly device and higher mg liquids. I never needed the 5v mods to keep me going but thats just me.

I've spent a ton of money exploring how to keep myself vaping and batteries charged. It's almost humerous!

The thing about the Chuck is that even though it is much bigger than a cigarette (like all other big battery mods) it is something you are proud to carry around and show off to others.

In other words, you feel less like some kind of junkie using it in public.
And it helps that at a mere 3.7 volts it will blow your doors off.


Of course, you can always go with 6 volts if you have a death wish.

Knowing what I know now I would have just bought a Mod and then every 2-3 months a supply of attys and juice.
Though if I hear that a FDA ban is coming I will stock up on at least a years supply

Then I wised up and got a 510. Ah, now we're talking!

But lately, I'm having serious Chuck envy. I've read so many good things about it on the forum, and I'm soooo over changing out batts every 45 minutes. And, before you say it, yes, I got a passthrough, and it died after 3 weeks. The h3ll with that!

So it's a Chuck for me - I just have to decide on the graphic. This is my Christmas present to me - it'll mark my 5 month anniversary off analogs, and I think I earned it!

I've got a Janty Stick and ordered a Super-T but I'll never give up my JOYE 510. It serves as a great little back-up to the others just to carry in my pocket or purse. I just like the small size and it works great. I don't vape the 510 all day so I don't think I'll have to spend too much on extra batts and attys. I've had it for over 2 months now and everything is still working great.

(I don't even regret getting the Njoy (Npro) for $75, a total waste of money, because it got me off cigarettes! It just sits around reminding me what a good deed it did, and that makes me happy. See me smile!

I think most people would say that, but I also think we (some of us anyway) need to go through a "its looks and feels just like a cigarette" phase before we are comfortable with the big bat style. There is a comfortable familiarity and low cost introduction with the mini kits that eases the process.

I would have skipped the 510 batteries and gone straight for the mods. Nicostick w/ 510 and 14500 battery, Silver Bullet and FogLog w/ Tenergy RCR123-A's. I also have a ton of juice from various vendors that I need to sell now and i would've skipped them all and bought up Nhaler juices instead.

yeah my first experience was with a Blu, honestly even though it's kinda "eh" it's not that pricey and at least got the job done. That and....well....if it weren't for their hardcore advertising I would never have heard of these "so called e-cigarettes". I'm a huge fangirl of my VP2s and never touch the Blu except to randomly go "oh yeah, that's why I use "THIS" and whip out my vp2.

I would not change a damn thing apart from learning about dripping earlier mm hee first e-cig was the penstyle so naturally I started with the best and still vape the best! Of course nowadays it helps if its attached to a chuck or other mod with a big battery

Ohh yea I don't need a big mod as I'm one of those that swears by USB batteries hehe! I charge it all up from a USB battery and a USB 18650 battery would make me very happy indeed

Great post. I love my 510 because it was just like a real cig (or as close as you can get anyway). Very easy transition from real cigs to e-cigs, and that was important to me.

And while I will be getting a good battery mod this month, I will still use the 510 when out and about.

Oh, and as for juice, I wouldn't buy the 20ml of US Mix/Marlboro (or "US muck" as I called it)...I actually ditched the last 10ml or so down the sink the other day...disgusting stuff. Loving all the other juice I've purchased though.

I'm in total agreement with this.

Seeing where I am now after 9 months of vaping, it's easy to say that I should have started off with a 5 volt device (yes, "battery holders"). But it's a process, and for some of us, we need a bit of a transition period. Frankly, had someone showed me a Prodigy right off the bat, I don't know how receptive I would have been.

I will say, however, that I think that had someone showed me a Protege or a Cisco laser mod as my first introduction, I would have been captivated. Small, elegant, and powerful devices. As it turns out, the 510 was enough to hook me and to encourage me to continue the journey.

I dunno, I think I did pretty well. When I first started, I ordered a Janty Stick and a 510. Loved the 510, and found out I wasn't a fan of the 801 JS. Sold the JS to help finance my first 510 Chuck, and have been a happy vaper ever since. I've added a couple of Nicostick mods to my arsenal, and use them at work.

I just ordered a Little Chuck, and I'm on the list to get a SuperT2. The LC will probably end up being my work PV.

So as it sits right now, I'll have a good supply of mods to last me a while. I probably won't buy any more unless I have an idea for another customized Chuck that I just gotta have. I think I'm good to go to just stock up on more juice and atomizers.

I was a lucky one who came to this forum before making my 1st purchase. That's why I chose the 510. It was so highly recommended.

If someone had said, you'll need to spend $150+ to get started, I probably would still be smoking analogs. Once I got started, the $200 mark came at a week, $300 the next and so on and so forth. I could list all of the mods and purchases I have made in my signature, I'd just be bragging.

I know some need to feel like its a real cig. I understand that and am sure I was the same way. Because most of us on this forum have addictive personalites, we want more and more after we learn how amazing this vaping world is.

I'm still on my first e-cig after two weeks, completely smoke free after 3 days of use, and saving up for a chuck! I'm pretty happy with my Npro, definitely performing better than some have said.

Based on recommendations from this forum I bought a Vapor King set-up and a 510 set up. I have to tell you the 510 seems extremely crude and a PITA compared to the VK. I guess it's not that big a deal, and now I have another back up.

But if I knew what I know now, I's start with Vapor King and not waste my money anywhere else!

I would have to say that I was lucky I loved my first vape and was happy with it looking like an analog....NOTHING else was needed seriously I would have been totally happy with my first purchase model, I could have stopped my search there....


BUT I came to enjoy this forum... and the whole PV talk...I received a whole lot of info here and wanted to pass it on..... SOOO I just HAD to buy more to form my own personal educated opinion...in order to share the RIGHT opinion (hehe I love my opinion )JK

so to reply to the OP's post IF I had to do it all over again...I would do it the same way
I made excellent choices and decisions...even the bad purchases (the unmentionable ones) was a great experience.
