I think I may not be clear. My dissatisfaction came after getting on this forum and learning that if I had better equipment the flavor would be so much better. Have fought the urge and still have my original set up but am starting to believe the majority here. Especially when it comes to Kayfuns

Got you. Its the thought that there is something better that has made you dissatisfied.

Well ultimately it was that thought that pushed me away from my eGo protank mini and got me to get the VTR.

All I can say is I'm vaping along just fine with my VTR and iClear 30s tanks (like the one that comes with it). Well, that and the opinion a Kayfun is vaping nirvana is an opinion. One you may or may not share once you got one.

There's a big part of this vaping thing that is purely subjective. Maybe the Kayfun is the ultimate vape. I dunno. Never tried one. But me and the VTR are over here trying to fill the room with big, billowy clouds o' wintergreen...

Im with you on that one 'Where has my screen disappeared to.... phew I see it again'.

Bliss atomizer???????? Dang! More research to do!

btw, fasttech is a great site to use get an idea of the possibilities; very thorough on the details the site is:

Bliss genesis style tank system.

But I find myself liking the Kraken design better:
1530400-2.jpg

because of the shape holding a small amount of liquid so you can use it better as a dripper maybe;
I like a shake-and-vape tank.

But both are genesis type, so they are really designed to use steel mesh wicks; harder to work with compared to cotton

So do you think the VTR was the right move?

For me, yes no problem. Its just what I wanted. Something that was easy to use had a good battey life and to use a decent clear'o on.

Most tanks of 3ml capacity will fit without using that silly adapter no problem. But for good measure I iclear30s is a beast.

And F..K its the coolest thing ive seen.

seriously though, wish I had a vtr. almost got one too, but the guy didn't mention a price and now turns out he's sold it already.

I like it; even if/when it died on me I figure there's enough room in there I could mod/rebuild it into something usefull. Maybe even stick in a vamo control board since those are available.

I cant see it ever dying. You could run over the bloody thing with a tank and it would still work.

If it weren't for these cheap batteries, they'd be issuing a fog warning round here. :D

LOL. That's what I'm talkin about. Althought it's a bit heavy, seems I'd have to try pretty hard to destroy it.

I actually like the weight myself. It's a purely subjective "feels substantial" thing. But I like it. Lot of the mods seem too... delicate? Like I'd be afraid to take them anywhere for fear of breaking them.

And tube mods make me feel like breaking into a really awful Daniel Radcliffe imitation...

One day soon someone is going to abuse the hell out it to see at what point it stops working, and they'll post it on youtube..

That will be one to watch.

Maybe I should get in touch with Innokin......First thing I thought when I picked one up is that I could run it over with my F-150....I could think of a few torture tests

Being a Brit I just had to look up what an f-150 was.

Blimey, I don't know what your worried about in parting with some cash. I had to save for a month before I could afford to get one. Then I had to justify it by saying...Well ive saved £120 this month for not smoking so if I spend £80 im still £40 up.

Thanks Andria....That clears everything up! Although I've read a number of your posts and thought about bookmarking some cuz they are so simple to understand, I have no clue what that last para means........ Off to do some research.

I couldn't really visualize it either, even though I had used cartos before, until I had a cheapie carto tank that didn't have the locking ring at the bottom to keep the carto *in* the tank. See, it connects to the battery via the 510 connection at the bottom of the carto; the carto tank is just a shell that rides along surrounding the carto with juice. The carto slides into the bottom ring of the tank; you prime the carto itself with about .8ml of e-juice, then, before you slide the carto all the way to the top, you fill the tank; there's a good seal between the carto and tank at the bottom, because of the o-rings, so you don't have to worry about it just running out. when the tank is about 3/4 full, you slide the carto fully upward, till it engages the top ring; put in a drip tip, screw it into a battery/mod, and you're off to the races.

The problem is that if the carto is not "locked" in place, by an extra ring at the bottom, when you go to remove the cartotank from the battery, it's entirely possible to pull the tank upward, before the 510 connector is fully un-screwed; if you're not very careful, it's very easy at that point to completely waste whatever remains in the tank, and waste it all over the battery/mod. With the locking ring, it's threaded onto the bottom ring of the tank, which keeps the carto engaged in the tank; you can't get the carto out until you remove the locking ring.

Does that make it a bit clearer? As I said, I couldn't really visualize it either -- until I wasted half a tank of juice all over one of my vv3s. I was not a happy camper, and that cheapie tank has been relegated to the catch-all in my e-juice drawer, probably to never be used again.
