Just try worrying something into the hole first. My IGO-L was giving me a harsh vape even when I had the air hole aligned. I figured out there was a tiny piece of metal left in there where the factory had drilled it.

I might drill it out eventually, but I find it pretty much perfect right now with the stock hole. Of course, you may find it worth drilling to find the vape you like.

Forgot to say welcome to the forum Pantera23 :vapor:

I've got the same set-up: Vamo and Igo-l. I found the 1mm hole to be fine, though enlarging it might be just fine, I suppose.

Is it possible that your coil is wrapped too tightly around your wick? If it's too tight, not enough juice gets to your coil and you could get a burnt taste.

Also, cotton (like from an organic 100% cotton cotton ball) can work great as a wick. And it's super cheap and easy to switch out when you want to freshen things up (no need to recoil, just slip another little wick through!). If that sounds interesting to you, search around the forum a bit for more info. Pretty easy to do, requires very, very little cotton - like half a pea size. Roll up one side of your piece of cotton and slide it through a coil that was wrapped around a 1/16" drill bit and your pretty much good to go.

Thank you!!
I tried getting it exactly how you had it and its working great now!
Only thing is is that its at 1.5 ohms i like my ohms around a 2.0-2.2
To up the ohms i would just have to wrap more coils around the wick right?

That's right: more coils increases the resistance. Good luck and have fun!

what gauge wire are you using?
I have a 6 wrap of 32 around a doubled up 3mm wick and iam currently getting 1.9ohms.

I normally build my IGO-L's with 30ga Kanthal 5/6 wrap for 1.6ohm
Mine are used for flavor testing rather than Clouds..........though they produce plenty:D

Fold wick - use sewing pin to help hold straight if needed
Make wraps evenly spaced, snug to wick - but not squeezing
Secure and check Ohms
Fire coil several times (Few seconds each) to check for even heating and remove contaminants
Wet and enjoy
