WHat size of silica wick? 1mm, 2mm, 3mm?

Here is why I ask when I do 5 wraps with 32 gauge kanthal on 3 mm silica wick I hit 1.7 ohms roughly which should fire on most devices.

27 gauge is going to be MUCH lower ohms than 32 gauge. I would probably try about 11 wraps and see if it fires. THat is a guess since we do not know what device you are trying to fire it on and minimum ohms varies a bit from one to another.

sorry for the late response its 3mm wick and i will definitely try more wraps when i get back from work. thanks

For the 47th time: What APV are you attaching to the igo?!?!?! The vast majority of APV's - you know, the kind that have screens that tell you things like "lo" - won't fire a coil below 1.3 - 1.2 ohms. Some of them won't give you a resistance reading at all if the coil is below their designated cutoff. That protection is one of the reasons why you got an APV to begin with. (Or maybe not in this case.)

1.) What PV are you using?

2.) Do you own a DVM to test these things out, other than trying it on your PV?

Take the top cap off..... And use something to push down on the positive pin.

It can work its way up ever so slightly and not make contact with your device.

    This!!^ ^ ^
I've had to do it with 2 of the 3 IGO-L's I have...EASY DOES IT!! It only takes a slight "tap" on the center post to move it down....
If, indeed, your coil is less than 1 ohm....it likely will NOT fire in an MVP v2, eGo, etc. -- AND IT'S UNSAFE TO TRY TO DO IT!!! The built-in protection circuitry of MOST such devices CAN FAIL....with NASTY RESULTS!!:(
    Good Luck!
    Happy (vaping) Trails!
