Hey ECF

Set up is k101, efest 18650, IGO w4 dual coil build at .3 ohms, 6 mg juice

Today is my first day with it and man I can not get a big hit nor a very flavorful hit out it as many have stated with rda set ups. I've saturated the wicks and after a few rips I dropped a few more drops not too many like 4-5 and I still don't get the production or flavor I was really hoping for.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks in advanced

Already drilled out yes

I have the opposite problem. The flavor is so big, it's actually way too much flavor, not really a lot of vapor either. I drilled out my airholes to 1/16th and get a super airy draw. Now if I plug one hole, it's a good draw. Plug the other and no difference. I don't know where I went wrong but I screwed up something. Dual coil 1.5 ohm setup on a ProVari Mini, tried 4 through 5V, no difference. The throat hit is crazy on this setup, methinks it would be great for a lung inhaler but I am not...

Hole on each side by each coil?

I knew it was going to be something simple. That does it I think. Flavor is toned down, and I shouldn't say it has "too much" flavor. It's the ratio of vapor, TH, and flavor that is way out of whack with the airholes not aligned properly. Tons of flavor and TH but no vapor, so inhaling is like inhaling straight juice, if that makes sense. Now with it turned around, it still hits like a truck (harder than any other topper I've tried so far) but it's more on par with the rest in terms of getting all three components just right. Thanks Sthur! I'll keep at it :)

The IGO's have a 7.5 amp limit. Sub ohming usually requires much more amps. I think over 7.5 amps there is a chance of burning/melting the insulator and O-rings thus causing a burning taste.

7.5A is about 30 watts (about 0.5 ohms) which is a huge vape if it's setup right. The IGO does not have a amp limit. It has a temperature limit like everything we vape but that's not going to be an issue for the plastic in it at 30 watts. Unless you have a small air hole and you chain vape for a while ...

Tell us more about how you built the coils and what wick you're using. As Sthur said, are the air holes lined up with the coils? Are your wicks working well? If you're using cotton, if you have too much in the coils you're choking off juice flow. How do you know that 4 - 5 drops is enough? Are you dripping right onto the wicks or through the drip tip?

A picture or two would really help too ;)

Yes. My bad. I stand corrected.
