I took a flyer on an Igo and also got the plastic cap. The Igo doesn't seem to be a very popular atomizer or least it is rarely talked about. I have used it exclusively for the past three days and I am glad that I bought it. I have duel coils measuring at 1.3 Ohm; it give me a good amount of vapor and very good flavor. With the plastic cap, it seems impossible to get a hot vapor. The plastic cap is drilled out by Rob so that it is a rather airy draw which I like - a little more free that an RM3 drilled to 1/16". The deck design makes for an easy build and an easy coil placement.
I think or rather I wonder if it is the plastic cap that makes for a cooler vapor. I don't know. But I do know that it is a good atomizer worthy of consideration if you like a cool vape with plenty of flavor and volume.

One of my favorite Reo atty's is an IGO-S that does duty on a 14500 Woodvil, sometimes on the VVG. The plastic tube wouldn't heat up as much as a metal one, but the kool vape is probably more about the build. I don't really like 22mm atty's on my Reos, but do have a Lancia w/clear glass tube on my LP/SL Grand TRA right now running dual twisted and it never gets hot. My very long lung hits and relatively low builds assures that all my metal atty's will warm up, get hot if I chain vape them. :2c:

I read your post and drilled out the metal cap that came with the Igo. I think you are right about the build being more important that the plastic. The metal cap got hotter than the plastic but the vapor remained rather cool. It is cooler than the same resistance made with thinner gauge wire. I guess that if I keep reading this forum, I'll know something eventually. Thanks.

As a very long lung hitter big bore tips are a must have and I have to drill out air intakes in stock caps. Some of my holes look big enough to drive an Edsel through in comparison to what the stock air holes were. No way a 1/16" would work for me at all without slip streaming the tip that dilutes flavor. Both of my Cyclones were bought used that way, so I'm not the only one with big drill bits. In small bf atty's 7/64" gets it done pretty well for me (but if remember the IGO-S is 5/64"). ;)
