I've been slightly curious about this new battery form factor, but honestly haven't looked into it too deeply. I quickly became disenchanted with the 26650 batts because of amp ratings. But it looks like this 20700 may be the best of both worlds! High amp rating combined with decent mAh ratings?!!? You just might convince me to jump on that!
There are what I'm calling great reassurances on this Box Mod. What I consider to be a safer way to reach higher Wattages for all of these Kanthal Cloud Beast tanks that are flooding the market. Up to 234W with this one in a Dual Series Stack with 20700s in a Regulated Mod that's relatively small, and it includes Temp Control for the rest of us. The iJoy 20700 is rated by Mooch as 30A and 3000mAh, with a maximum vaping amps (MVA) rating of 40A. I say "safer" because Dual 3000mAh 18650s can't do that.
Of course, once good people like DJLsb Vapes and Phil Busardo do their extensive tests and post their results, we'll have a much better idea of how accurate my "great reassurances" statement is, but I'm going with that for now. The batteries have been tested and should do very well in a design like this, so I'm eager to see the Mod's testing results.
