Bad USB cable or port?

No I’ve tryed all my usb ports also tryed loads of usb cables I’m just not sure why they both not letting me put them in dfu mode

Are you following the instructions from the update file where you pop open the battery door hold the fire button and close the battery door. Launch the updater software and then plug it into the USB?
