Well my Exo went back to the store yesterday midday. Looks like a problem with the insulator or something. Something was shorting out. They took apart the single coil deck and nothing seemed wrong. Something is shorting though. Everything was perfect for the first 5 days and then bang it stopped working in TC and Ohms were jumping all over the place. No loose connections etc. They even swapped out the deck of a display model and same thing happened. Redid a couple of coils and the same.

I called a few hours later to see if they found anything and they said someone else brought back one also for the same reason. Looks like my vendor might have gotten a bad batch maybe. Love the tank and don't know if I want to take a chance on a new one ordering online or something from China.

What a shame, hopefully you or the vendor can figure it out. Maybe the vendor can contact their supplier.

Swapping the deck and still having the problem says to me look at the cap/chimney or some little particle where it screws down to the base. The deck is a separate part from the base, correct?

Having said that, I had a STM and a Bachelor that both quit reading resistance after rinsing the deck with water. I even dried them with a hair dryer after a few days to no avail. Sometime the vape gods just don't smile on you.

Of course, if its been refunded, you won't be able to do any looking.

@Vaperx Was it a black EXO that failed on you?

Yeah. I just read some posts on Fasttech. Maybe a bad batch of black?

Well, I hope they correct the issue soon and it is easy to locate new stock.
It's not often I get talked into a new tank, but at least I hadn't ordered yet.
Sympathy for those who have them.

for all the people worried about the black, i have the black and no issue what so ever. It sounds like a bad batch got put out.

Unless I can identify the batch somehow, it's the same as all are bad to me.
Seems like FT has a number of people with the problem, but @Vaperx got his from a B&M I think.
I may go with SS just to be safe, but that just guarantees that if I like the tank I'll be buying black at some point.
Eh? Why rush...
