Mine should be here this afternoon - can't wait!!! :vapor:

According to the reviews I've seen it's considered a 'top of the line premium device' with expert machining and fabulous bottom-fire button. It's very small though, just under 5" including tank and tip, though the Kick ring, sold separately, will add a little. I ordered mine directly from Drop Mods and think they sold out in two days, but there are other vendors.

I'll report back when it gets here, but if you want one, I wouldn't wait too long. I waited over two months for mine.

Well give it the run down when you get it and let me know what you think as far as build quality, performance, and aesthetics.

just got mine. the actual satin finish is a little darker than it looks on the pictures. Machining is excellent and the firing button is very yielding, so you don't have to grip hard for it to hit. really good looking mod too IMO. Well worth the outlay.

Awesome! ;) What drip tip did you get?

It's here and fast!

The color IS darker, not like the pics on their site at all. I agree, the machining is excellent and everything feels quality. I like the short smooth throw of the fire button and the bare brass screws are a nice upgrade from previous models. The shorter one works great with my button top 18350s and there is zero rattle. I like the wicking options too.

Mine came with the straight tip also, not like the one in their pictures. Things I can see that would make this better is if they included a couple more washers and hex nuts for the pos post and if the pictures on their site were accurate.

So it's time to build a coil ;)

ETA - the air hole is very small and may need to be enlarged for a better draw IMO.

Very high quality. Looks great to me. Very solid and quite heavy for its size. Which I like. Threads are wonderfully smooth. I love the satin finish. Personal preferences, of course.

Air hole was waaay to tight out of the box. Blue-in-the-face tight. And the cap is quite thick, so it's not possible to just use a round file like with i.e the Agas. Needs to be drilled.

No plug for the second wick hole included. May cause leakage if left on it's side and flood the deck while vaping. Also, deck is quite thick, so you'll need a bottle with a long nozzle to fill it. Else it will waterlock. Bottles with a metal syringe-style tip works. (or just a syringe) Ordinary long-tipped bottle tops won't work. Neither will things like the uCan.

Wick gets a bit close to the center post washer, so I sanded down one side of the washer to avoid contact. Could well come with a smaller diameter washer. Other than that, it's very easy to setup and get working just after a little pulsing.

Would like to see an easier way to disassemble the button, and a more recessed bottom connector or brass screws with thinner heads so bottom one don't stick up above the insulator. You can sand them, of course.

Sounds like a lot of negatives, but really it's just my nitpicking nature. Just trying to avoid people buying it on my recommendation, then feel cheated due to me omitting certain small peeves.

Overall very happy with mine. Even more so after "sanding (bottom connector) ever so slightly" as mentioned by ikelos. Thanks!

Doubt you'll be disappointed. I've been using mine quite exclusively for over a week now. Only reason I use other gear is for different juices without cleaning this one out. I could well rid myself of all my other gear if I had another hybrid this size. I'd grab another of these if I didn't appreciate diversity.

After enlarging the air hole, it's just great. As an experiment, I sanded down the brass screw that screws into the button. Gives an extremely short throw, yet won't auto fire. Not feeling it's safe enough to pocket it like this... but it sure is nice for home use. Won't keep it like that, since main reason I got it was for pocketability.

I'm loving mine more every day as I learn to work with the tiny quirks it does have. That being said by a guy that finds tiny (and huge) quirks with any setup.

Love mine also had to make minor adjustment. Opened air hole, added set screw to bottom switch to make better contact when time permits will change to screw with ground down head. Also I got the kick ring and 18490 sleeve. Hint the kick sleeve and the 18490 sleeve together makes it a 18650 mod if you use the long positive screw.

Had mine for quite a while now. The more different gear I get, the more I appreciate the Ikarus. I did have to open up the air hole, and I've sanded down one of the brass screws to use in the button. No big deal, tho. But I realize it might put some people off having to do a little work on a higher priced item... no matter how little.

Well protected glass tank, unique/stylish looks and small size... it's just great. I do have the 18490 section, but I usually just go with an 18350 battery.

Bumping this thread because I just bought an Ikarus and it ships Monday! I was wondering if anyone has used the Daedalus 510 connection on they're Ikarus. It would be awesome to have the ability to put whatever rba/rda I want on it but I'm not sure it's worth the $160 price tag...

Also, what size air hole did you guys decide to go with and how happy are you with the size you chose? From what you guys have said it sounds like I'll end up drilling mine out too and I wanted to get an idea of your experience with the size hole you decided to drill.

Thanks

So I received mine yesterday and the bottom button came exactly as depicted on dropmodz website without a contact screw. Is there supposed to be one? There's a hole with threads that looks like there should be one. Can someone let me know so I can contact the site asap if I'm missing a contact screw.

Thank you
