somewhere out there......
I have to agree, there are a multitude of templates out there to get you started in a more professional direction. This site looks like a 10yr old designed it using Frontpage
come on man where's the love...He's not done yet...and beside it looks nice but webpage designing takes time. There is a lot of work that goes into webpages.

Oh Chrissie your such a doll! :hubba: Thank you kindly.

JonW Absolutley! We're aiming for a very nice line-up of products and for a ONE Stop shop standard. :):)

RsL, I'm sorry you feel that way. But as for the site, thanks for being brutally honest! Can't please everybody. Haha :p

Flordia! I loved your post on the hospital thread, you showed so much heart. Thank you so much for your comment. You just made me smile. :D

There is a lot of work that goes into webpages.

I know, I designed my first website using nothing more than a txt editor back in June of 1995. No such thing as Frontpage back then. Point is, I was just being honest. Loyal GG fans won't care what it looks like, but a bad looking website will scare other people away in droves. But now I know it's a work in progress and I am glad to see a US based distributor. I wish you guys the best. Later...

Everyone has their own preferences for appearances for web site designs. You can't please everybody.

I personally like light and bright, and less is more type of design. It's a mood lifter for me.

But my son loves the black and smokey and says it is sexy.

I designed my own web sites from scratch.

Medical Software & Educational Resources for Medical Students

and Red Leaf Sales - Machine Embroidery, Needle Arts, Quilting

and Quilters Math - Quilt Math Calculator Software for Quilters

and I designed them based on my personal preferences.

So it comes down to what you're happy with and if you're happy with it and like it then that's what counts. ;)

Bristow, Ok.
I am just an old woman that doesn't know a whole lot but I think the site looks beautiful. It shows that it is American. What is not to love about the GG coming to America. The black and gold is very striking. To me it looks professional and inviting. The only way I can see to improve it is to open it for business. I want to be the first customer.

Hey Suz! We had to do away with the "Enter" link for the moment till we're all set. We can't just have everyone jumping around buying things in there ;) + they're's secrets in that theyre site, (terrible southern accent).

Did you see me banging on the door? When can we go in and look around?

While I'm sure I'll be buying a GG from the new US site, I'm somewhat in the same group of people who think the new site is a bit over-the-top. I tend towards more 'clean' sites as well, designing and programming sites is one of the things I do for a living. Currently I've got 3 major sites that I've done and currently maintain:

AREAWARE
Harmony Ball Company
Harmony Kingdom - Home of the Original Box Figurine

Each has a somewhat different feel, though the last one is quite past due for an update. However, as long as the site is easy to use, I don't think it'll be a problem. If people can find what they're looking for easily enough, it may be ok. Just try not to have too many things distracting potential 'new' customers from what they're really there for... the product.
