So I've been vaping for a while and eventually made the leap to 6v and now I just can't settle for less. I recently got sick of dripping (dripping+driving=insanely dangerous) and started looking into cartos. After wasting entirely too much money and receiving nothing but frustration from ce2's, I've settled on using boge 510 cartomizers and I can't help but feel like there is more out there.

I am super interested in trying out some IKV cartos but I can't find anything detailing if they can handle 6 volts. I know some don't even have the ohm rating and I'd be afraid of popping them. Can anyone offer some insight/advice on this situation?

Yeah what 5CS said...I vaped at 6V for a long while...I'm running an IKV 901 HV atty at 4.8 now. It's got in excess of 50 mls of juice thru it at this point and still performing as new..No carto is gonna be happy at 6V..Given the price drop on the Buzz and the Infinity's low price I'd look into getting one...Naturally I'd top it with any of Issac's cartos. I usually run them between 4.2 and 4.6V. They are happy there and last a good long time..

Although a 6V carto is still in Isaac's plans, developing one will not be an easy task, because of wicking issues. 5V is about all they can realistically handle and 4.5V about as sweet as it gets.

If we drip on an 1.5 LR because a cart cannot supply enough liquid to the coil, what makes us think that we can use a 2Ohm or higher carto at 6V. You cannot feed a 4bbl carburetor using an 1/8" fuel line.

Sunday Isaac and I exchanged in a long conversation where folks are vaping cartos at 6V (standard cartos 2-2.5) and we just can't see it, because trust me we have tried it. During our conversation we discussed the long pulls GrimmGreen takes on cartos, unless that carto is kept fresh or nearly flooded, it will eventually burn through at that voltage with that length of pull. I have done it as a BETA tester. It was also done on purpose mind you. If the carto is maintained in a moist state, then what is the difference between maintaining it moist and dripping?

Now add to this the viscosity of the liquids... I have observed many videos and cannot for the life of me comprehend how folks can seriously vape at 6V with a carto using 100% VG liquids. Folks here that have had great success with the IKV line will tell you verbatim that liquid viscosity is just as important vaping cartos as matching atty resistance with batteries used. If it isn't wicking, it is burning!

Seriously, the buzz only 99 bucks can't be beat for a cart user. I LOVE the provari with cartomizers very much. Not so much with atties as standard 4.2-5-6V is what they're specially made for. I'm working on a 6V carto that should be hitting the production line soon though. It's going to be another stab s with the Beta team so there's no guarantee just yet.

While I can't vouch for others, and wouldn't try using any carto/atty under 3.0-3.2 ohms at 6v, I will say that I am loving cartos at 6v and that I also only use 100% VG. I've yet to blow a carto or burn one (well once you count out the CE-2's and Fluxomizers) and keeping them wet isn't nearly as much of a chore as dripping, especially at HV. I top my carto off every 30-45 mins or so with 3-4 drops and that lasts unless I am chain vaping or something and even then it's far less aggravating than trying to appease any atomizer at 6v.

You vaped a CE2 at 6v, and didn't choke to death? It might take a month to get *that* fried taste off your tongue... They have a unique and lingering stench when that happens.

I've yet to not horridly burn one past 4.4v, and that was with flooding juice directly on the coil.

I've been bottom-feeding my 808 mega at about 6.2 when my lifepo4s get low and it's tasting pretty darn good, but I can tell these are meant for 5V and under. What I do is bottom feed it so it's nice and wet and pulse in 1 second intervals so I don't scorch anything, it's a pain, but when I get that perfect hit, it's a thing of beauty. Huge vapor and nice warmth even with the long tube. Getting close my good man! Can't wait to place my next order and try out something new :)
