Actually it took me two days to decide which state facts were of interest to a group of 10 year olds.....
as my 11 yo granddaughter politely pointed out, they were none of the one's I had written down!

That's great!!! I knew I was out of my league to begin with so I took my 3rd grade Granddaughter with me to pick out the postcard...that way I was sure to cover the bases!

Oh no, you got me all wrong, I was laughing because "little bit" would do the exact same thing to me........so calling here would have done you no good. She could have picked the facts herself and then decided they were lame.

I have a question, if I find a post card from another state where I go tonight can I still send it from Missour? Or do they prefer it be postmarked from the state it is?
We will definitely let everyone know how it turns out! At least what we hear about anyway. I'm sure Lara won't reveal too much to us LOL. She's at the stage now where it's just 1 word answers (good, ok, yeah, etc.) So if we can drag any info out of her then you guys will be sure to get it!!

I did send a post card a few days ago. I would think you can still send one.
I believe that it has to be postmarked from the state that the card is from. That's one of the things that the teachers are looking for. The date needs to be current & the postmark I guess is to tell what state it's getting mailed from. IDK what they would do if it was one state on the front of the card and mailed from another state...
Sky we did get one from WI, but that doesn't matter. We will still accept them no matter how many we get from one state. For the school contest she only needs 1 per state, but for our contest we need 1 per person.
We love getting them in the mail and going over them with the kids, they get so excited when they see another one. Besides even if we have 10 from 1 state everyone will have a different fact & that will be a great learning experience!
