I got a new camera to play with, and I was finding it hard to describe the exact procedure I use for filling cartos, and I've been curious about the process of putting things on YouTube, so I put together a little video.

Filling 808 cartos en masse

There's nothing I can really do about the focus -- minimum object distance from lens is supposed to be 1 meter, so it's going to be a little fuzzy because the camera is too close or it's going to be a little fuzzy because the camera is fixed at the proper distance and zoomed to the max.

I'll really appreciate knowing if, with the camera and tech level I have, is it going to be worthwhile to redo it (despite checking everything multiple times at each stage, I didn't see a misspelling until I uploaded it)?

Any comments about the content will also be appreciated as long as they aren't about the method demonstrated -- this is the fastest, cleanest, and easiest method I've ever found for filling cartos.

Thanks in advance!

Nice Video....I wanna know where you got those holders for the cartos.

Thanks!

I made the holders out of Sculpey Oven-Bake Clay (about $6 a pound at Wal-Mart). It's like modeling clay, but after you've got it the way you want, you bake it at 275F for 15 minutes to set it. It comes out leathery, which is good because you can easily carve or sand away any gross imperfections.

Great job! Very profesh lookin!

Thanks, but I know it's far from professional -- I was basically trying out my new camera to see what its strengths/weaknesses/needs are, and decided to do something useful rather than totally useless content. I really shouldn't have bought the camera, but it was $110 off, and I'm a sucker for a bargain.

I'm mostly wondering if it would be worthwhile to redo it now that I now what lighting/etc. it needs and to make anything easier to understand (and to replace that ^#!@&**%# typo that slipped through).
