For what it's worth... I don't think it'll ever stop...the anti movement gets their money from big pharm and it's right in their little how to organize operating manual to avoid ballot measures (that way people don't get a chance to reject it) and how to avoid all exemptions and preemtions.. here it is right here in print if you need to see it: http://www.no-smoke.org/pdf/CIA_Fundamentals.pdf

In other words barganing with them isn't an option..if we give them smoking, smokeless tobacco, e-cigs and the like are only a step behind

The irony of it all is that the anti-smoking groups have managed to get the country addicted to tobacco tax money. They lobbied governments to tax higher and higher in the attempt to stop us smoking, lest they be annoyed. Now too much national infrastructure relies on us paying those obscene taxes. A huge part of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) is paid for by smokers. If they quit....there is no money. Plus roads, bridges and lord knows what else.

I will build a Nicostick and make my own juice before I go back to that tax slavery. Until then...open up the taps on that Kant and Cool, V4L....I am gonna clean you out on the stuff. :D

Stockpile, baby....stockpile..... ;)

First off, if they successfully ban pvs I will smoke cat turds (with a whistle-tip) before any government entity gets one red cent in tax revenue from me. If hatred of the monstrosity our government has become doesn't prevent me from returning to analogs nothing will. This is what happens when traitorous liberal demonrats run the show. I digress.

That being said..the people on this and other pv forums are a resourceful and inventive bunch and I'm confident that we'll figure out a way to continue vaping. I'm all for a class action lawsuit and would happily pony up some dough should legal action be necessary. I never hated "big tobacco" til now. They certainly are the driving force behind this.

Breaking news......

Cat turds classified as drug delivery system by the FDA.....

:D

I agree....this thing is driven by money no matter how it gets dressed up. They aint getting mine anymore. Even PACT is driven by money. One of the primary lobbyists there is the convenience store trade organization (forget the name) that was losing ciggie money to internet sales. States were losing tax dollars.

What if...PV's were sold as breath freshening devices? Er, sold with the disclaimer "not intended for inhalation". If they want to play the "label it this" and semantics that why can't we? The nic juice would still be a separate issue but would allow for sale of the devices.

Also according to the wording of the potential ban if V4L just sold equipment with no-nic cartos it shouldn't fall under the ban. Would put our IL bros and sis's in a yucky position still.

BTW this state by state banning is utter and complete BS :(

im not in any of those states but i am sure its a matter of time. So far the United States of Communism has kicked me out of my favorite bar for smoking, has tried to FORCE me into health insurance, and thus when i find a HEALTHY Alternative to smoking to technically battle the whole health insurance thing they seem to just give me a big ....... YOU! WTF happened to our freedoms? Apparently we are only Free enough to be told what we can and cant do.

We have Illegal drugs and guns on our streets. We have millions of americans unemployed. We are at war (does anyone remember this?) and the US is in a never ending spiral of depression. And we are waisting time with Healthy alternatives which could potentially if legalized make jobs? I would love to see a US Vaporizer.

ok my rant is going to end. I just read this and it ...... me off. AND WATCHING JAY LENNO DIDNT HELP! I MISS CONAN!

And that is why if PVs get banned my war will be with their children.

You want to hurt me then I will take it out on the brats you claim your are protecting in any way I can.

** Edited out the list of plans, most folks like children and would be greatly offended reading it**

I am so sick of having to change the way I live my life for the sake of Americas busted condoms. Humans are not an endangered species and personally I like feral kittens and rabid raccoons better than the snot nosed disease spreading, screaming bags of entitlement I am forced to pay for the existence of.

Sorry for those of you that have kids but they took my cloves for the sake of the brats and I will NOT go quietly if they try to take my PV. Perhaps I can even goad one of their parents into killing me and taking the karma while leaving my husband and cats financially well cared for.

I so wish there was undiscovered country to emigrate to... I don't feel very free in the US anymore and I really can't see it getting any better. CA is only safe until Arnie retires and he isn't running for reelection.

lol who would have thought that California would be a safe haven !!!!!

Kimmy I agree with you. (to a certain degree) I would rather pay taxes on the E-cig rather than go back to tobacco cigarettes. I don't ever want to get hooked on those things again!!! however if they do get their meat hooks into taxing the E-cig you know it will never end!!!!!

I cannot remember the other poster that mentioned it but if Texas succeeds from the Union be prepared for one more family to move out there :)

This is so frustrating :( I love what the US has become in it's relative short time here in the whole scheme of things but in the last 10 - 20 years we have taken this great nation of ours and we are rapidly destroying it and this if it passes is just another nail in the coffin for the US! :(

Okay I'm still NEW to vaping, but when I was BRAND new I was afraid... no...I was certain this would happen...I just didn't think it would be so soon. Sad, sad, day.

I decided I would not wait to see if there would be a V4L sale this coming holiday and placed my order immediately after finding this link. I cannot be without my V4L juice! I just gave up smoking ~ I can't quit the E-cig yet!! Gov't can kiss my big behind. I would make phone calls and try and help you guys lobby but after spring break this week I just won't have time. So Sorry.

Totally ...... off here, too. Blood boiling. Absolutely typical of tobac companies and their political cronies.

Did I miss seeing phone numbers of where to call in IL? If anyone posts one--or an email address--I'll do my share. Will fight to the end for V4L, this forum, and everyone associated. Promise.

Sorry, Jeffree, they don't care what you (and I) think. We're not their constituents. We don't elect them. Registered voters from Illinois only count. Sad but true.
