:blink:I REALLY want to join the fascinating world of DIY'ers, but, my challenge is that I'm basically hooked on one vendor (more or less). BWB (BackwoodsBrew). The taste of their tobaccos is wonderful and although I'm too tired of paying $16. for their juice I don't know what else to do.

Has anyone had any success in coming close to their tobacco flavors? It's a clean, somewhat woodsy, kind of close-to-analog flavor. Would a tobacco essence/absolute provide what I'm after?

Please HELP any way you can.

Can you please share how you make it?

8% DK tab from Perfumer's Apprentice
70/30 or 50/50 VG/PG 24 mg nic
1 drop Tobacco Extract per 30 ml bottle.

The extract gives that lingering feeling and some jazz to the vape. Not really trying to get a flavor from it, more of a simulated smoke feeling. I love the big vapor from VG, but hate how it mutes flavors. Ill change the ratio of VG to PG because VG has massive "Hang Time" in the air, not appropriate at work. I can already fog a room, don't need it floating in the air for 10 minutes making people think something is on fire. At home, where I'm close to the Air conditioning, it will blow the vapor away.

deleted. I was gonna ask Stownz for the recipe but I see he posted it - that'll learn me to read the whole thread before I reply :D

edit: Tried the recipe above and mrs. wiz says no - so I tried it without the TA and she still says no - too much tobacco flavor. That'd lead me to believe I'm using a little too much TPA concentrate.

I've got 18mg Dekang DK-TAB here in both straight PG and straight VG - I think what I'm gonna have to do is sit her down in the mad scientist lab, start at about 2%, give her a drip tip and have her work with me until we nail it.

I'm not sure I *can* nail it with TPA DK-TAB as I've put a lot of work into it already - plus the TPA concentrate has a floral, perfume-y taste and aroma that's not present in the Dekang juice.

I really would appreciate some pointers if anybody's got any - I can continue to buy the stuff for her but it sure seems pointless when I've got this whole mad scientist thing going on :)

I've found TPA's tobacco absolute has similar (dare I say exact) characteristics to BWB's tobacco undertones. Be careful with that stuff though - it's really potent and you should follow instructions on diluting found in this sub-forum.

I was just gonna say that about Vermillion River's tobacco juices. Just tried some for the first time and as I inhaled it the first thing that came to my mind was "Wow, this is Linda's TA!"
