Another day behind you now Sarge and AG :)

I don't like the new route, one loop around hard to judge time. I timed it and came in at 15 mins. I have been slacking on the run.

Thats right, AG will be going home pretty soon. This tour is going by nice a quick so far.

I hope every one is having the kinda day they want.

Wow that is a nice thought Sarge "the kinda day we want" I never really thought much about the kinda day that I want but I do know that it would be nice :)

Do you mean that AG is going home on leave soon? I know that will be nice. Hey, Christmas will be here before you know it and it will be your turn for a break :)

He is going on leave, I always hate the travel time to get there but I hear it isn't that bad this time around. I hope he has fun.

I do too Sarge! Lots of fun :) He certainly deserves it. What is the travel time from there? I have a terrible time with jet lag going from one time zone to another.

We are 9 and a half hours ahead of Texas time and total time one way is just over 22 hours but the army way takes 4 to 5 days. The times you fly are not right and they make you wait in the worst place and you really don't get much sleep. When you get in the civilian plane you have 24 hours and you will be home. Thats with lay overs and stuff. Jet lag is bad.

It starts when you get to Dallas. You get the hang of it. I have made that flight 6 times already. I take as many sleep aids as I can and sleep the hole time. Wake up in a new country. Let me tell you about all the thankful Americans there are to greet you back. In Maine there is a big group called Maine Troop Greeter, they are all old Vets and they come in all the time no matter what hour it is to thank you. Its very cool.

In Dallas its more intense, one time I came in and there was 100s of people there maybe a 1000. Its was epic with all applauding, I have never seen anything like it in my life the first time I did. The little things like this make it worth it. No matter what happened in the tour and all the hard times you had are gone you are the hero. I will never forget it.

That is excellent to hear Sarge. Kinda makes the jet lag bearable.:thumb:

I won't post what I(we) got when we came back.
