made some tanks, used an ice pick to make the hole and works better then a nail.

Thats great Sarge! We have been using an awl and it works much better than a nail. Leave the condom on the carto so it won't roll around and one quick tap right through the condom makes a perfect tiny hole without denting the carto like a nail will. Hubby does mine and as soon as I told him to use a nail the first time he said a nail will dent it and he was right. He uses an awl and it works perfectly. I don't think that I have an ice pick :)

This is a good example of what family and friends went thru during my era of Hell.

No internet - mail sucked worse than leeches - never in one spot long enough for mail anyway.

My folks went 3 months not hearing one word via mail from me, and by then it's not worth much anyway, cuz too much time has already gone by.

I hated that it was so hard on Mom.

This is why I entrust them All into our Heavenly Father's hands.

May God bless them all. ╬

You know I was telling AG that in the beginning. He was telling me that he was going to do a web cam thing where he reads his son a story. I told him just imagine how bad it was for the families before the days of internet and cell phones. I am pretty sure that they really appreciate those modern conveniences these days :)

This was his message. I know that he won't mind my posting it to ease everyones minds

We just had a huge project fall in our laps building bedrooms for a hundred and some odd soldiers in these tents. Finally getting everyone a bit of privacy. We'll be back to the old routine in a day or so.

I am so very glad to hear all is OK. I remember my Dad being away when I was little for months on end - often times, we received the mail he sent after he already returned home. It was always difficult a time, but I was young and ignorant as to the workings of the military and his job - and the risks, in particular. It is only now that I can appreciate how very hard it was on my mother and the other more worldly-wise adults in the family.

Again, I am glad to hear all is well with AG and Sarge. Hello's and hugs for both of you! :)
