Thats why I have not been stung in so long! I run faster than anyone you have seen run when I see the little bastads. They have been so bad this year though and I think becuase it is so dry they like to come after me when I am cleaning my bird baths and running water. I will be OK but it does hurt like a mutha. I had actually forgotten how bad the little devils can hurt :)

Let me tell you what. I think that you must have at least 1 of every flavor ever made and from every vendor out there in this juice :) Oh and Laz Jr sent you some stuff with a nice little note too :)

Which reminds me, do you have access to syringes there? I am sending pipettes but a syringe really works so much better. I am also sending a cool little funnel and empty bottles.

Oh yeah and some labels to label the bottles. Trying to make sure that I thought of everything that you may not have access to.

Yeah I'm pretty good friends with one of the medics, so once in a while a syringe can disappear for us (I'm like radar from m.a.s.h.) You know this deployment is flying by for me with the exception of when I know an awesome package is coming this way, now it's gonna take 2 months to get through the next week :). Laz jr huh? I keep forgetting to tell my wife about that, she was a huge coal chamber fan too.

Living in a log cabin I'm at peace with most critters, have even got my city-bred wifie to appreciate them, but this summer yellow jackets quickly built a good sized ground nest in my front yard, during a dry spell. Buggers got my feet and ankles six times in two minutes, when the mower went over their nest.

Working on the assault, but this one is a biggie, and an unacceptable location.

Thats what is going on here. The ground is all that nasty red clay type dirt and when it is dry it gets cracks all in it. Thats where the little buggers are. I love wild life though :) I feed them all. Thats how I got stung I was running water under some pine trees and I POd some of them lol

I know, I got a bunch of critters that I feed too. The Bluejays almost land on me when I'm feeding them they're so impatient. They call to me when they want some peanuts. I can't leave them out because the squirrels and crows take them. They get theirs too but want everyones.

Yep I am about to be overtaken by squirrels. I like them too but they won't let anything else eat. I put food way out away from the house for them and they know thats where they are supposed to eat but they will invade the feeders with sunflower every chance that they get. The Blue Jays are smart though. They will watch the squirrels bury the peanuts and as soon as the squirrel leaves the Jay digs it up and eats it :)

Hummingbirds are cool too but very selfish. I see all of the shows on TV where people have 100s of hummers eating from the same feeder. Not at my house though! I have to put a different feeder in a different location for each hummer. Some are lucky enough to sneak in and get a drink here and there but for the most part they guard their feeders :)

This is an interesting conversation; Learning a lot about creepy crawleys and backyard friends. Salem, if you have ammonia handy, that is the best thing you can put on a bee sting. And I have dozens of hummingbirds living in my pear tree cause there is a feeder hanging very close, and they will not share. There is always fights going on at that feeder. Hummingbirds never allow another to drink at the same time. Did you all know that the liquid is not their food? It is their fuel. They actually eat insects. The feeders provide them with stamina and energy to catch and eat the insects. (just my 2 cents)
And Salem--being bitten by a brown recluse is a huge deal. So glad you are still with us.

Evening AG--glad the anticipation of your arriving packages is making life in tent city more pleasureable. I am excited for you and your vaping buddies....what a treat for us all.

The squirres can't get to my bird feeder to get the sunflower seed because it's spring loaded so if they get on it all the feeder doors shut.

I have one like that too but if it gets low the tiny birds like chickadees can get stuck inside it :( I can't tell you the number of chickadees that we had to get out of there so I took it down and just have the other squirrel proof ones that don't work :)

Mine has an adjustment on it and it get's full of birds on all the doors and they stay open. I bet yours does too. Right where the springs hook on there should be a line of holes. just move it out a couple holes and the spring gets tighter.

Yep but even making those adjustments the little chickadees find a way to get in there if the seed gets low. I am going to put it back up close to the house so that I can see if one gets trapped in there. I have had it at least 10 years. I may just need to get a new one :) I will do something soon because the squirrels are making me crazy.

So much for good karma! I was out filling my bird baths and feeders this evening and got stung in my right forearm by a bee. I am allergic but not as allergic as when I was younger so my entire right arm is good and swollen :(

Ouch... sorry to hear that, hope it feels better soon. Maybe the good karma is just taking a little time to arrive. You deserve the good karma so it should arrive soon!

Which reminds me, do you have access to syringes there? I am sending pipettes but a syringe really works so much better. I am also sending a cool little funnel and empty bottles.

I included a syringe in my package with the 510 clearomizers!

I know what you mean! We have all sorts of critters pop into our log cabin for a visit! The ones I hate the most are the bats that ocassionally find their way in!

Hope the assault goes well!

here we just have spiders the size of squirrels. But no stinging critters as of yet.

No spiders... that is worse then the bats. I hate spiders. Are the spiders there poisonous. I hope not. I got bit by a brown recluse about 1/2 a centimer from a body part that shall not be named here while I was sleeping. That really bit (no pun intended) and was another nerve racking trip to the hospital when it started ulcerating!

And all these replies are what happens when you don't read this thread ALL DAY!
