Good evening, AG and your forum troops. Out of sight does not mean out of mind. Have had a busy weekend, but see you have been well taken care of. Some good posts, and some sad posts. I am a step mom and my husband is a step dad. My first husband died of brain cancer, and when I remarried, I was so lucky. My kids love this man. And right after we were married-his first wife died in a car crash so we raised his son from the age of 11. And I am happy to report, there were very few problems. I love the step son like my own and my kids love their step dad (my daughter calls him stepmonster to his face) and he loves them. And I know we are very lucky.....my heart goes out to you who did not find that in your own lives. But sounds like you were able to move on, AG and Moorea. But I know the memories can be hurtful. Why anyone would create hurt in somebody else's life is beyond my comprehension.
Back to lighter conversation, AG. You could not afford to buy your wife a new skirt sooner? How much are the skirts there? In American dollars is that skirt like a truck payment or something? Is that typical of clothing costs there? Or is this a special kind of skirt? I mean I can pick up a skirt at Walmart for under $10....and only $30 at a more upscale place. But they might not have shiny metal thingies hanging from them. Is that what makes this skirt special? Sorry---not much of a fashion expert.
