Lol, I thought so too. But then on one particularly cold crappy day, I open my AKO mail and BAM! Orders to Fort Campbell.
I loved Ft. Campbell! Was it 4-101 AVN. Been trying to get back there since '97 but kept getting the "they have no slots for you". Kinda sad when Ft. Campbell has one of the biggest AVN asset...
We are not going to let you forget to give us the link to see your homecoming either. We are all looking forward to watching it live

I keep getting told that clarkesville is the place to live over there. You been by there?
my buddy Jimmie lived in Clarkesville. Seemed like a nice town, I have been through it about 10 times, and stopped at a resteraunt or movie theater a couple times, but never really spent much time in town. It was pretty nice. my Fort Campbell buddies all lived on base, or in Clarksville.
Jimmie had a NICE 2 story, 4bedroom house that was only 5miles from base.

Clarkesville is ok.
Now Nashville, that was a party town! I used to drive there every weekend. Good old 2nd street. Well, that was when I was a young lad and could drink/party all weekend, drive back monday morning and be ready for PT by 0630. But boy did I ever smell like alcohol....

It sure is nice having people in this world like salem and all these other folks that help her with the packages for the guys and gals over there. Kinda restores your faith in humanity and I feel like I really need to thank them just as much as the young folks overseas.
