Greetings. I've been using FIN products since April. I started with a "Deluxe Kit" from Walmart and have been buying refill cartomizers as needed. I have amassed several empty cartomizers, and the FIN company tells me they cannot be refilled. Is this so?

If they CAN be refilled, how do I go about it. Please explain exactly, because I'm really a novice and don't understand all the terminology yet.

I appreciate all the help you can give, and once I become a "pro" I'll be glad to help, too.

Thanks, and happy vaping!

Do the ends of the carto look like this?

Cartomizer cap removal.jpg

*EDIT* Its likely they are similar, judging from what ive read the plastic end caps are difficult to remove on the Finiti's(done intentionally, i assume, to make it harder to refill)so they may be a pain to refill.

In a perfect world where the caps come off easily, this would be the approximate procedure.

Unless youre really stuck on the 'cig-a-likes', id recommed looking into getting into a 510/ego/clearo setup, the startup costs wont be too high, youll have a more reliable setup (though more complicated), and you will be able to refill/use different juices, giving you more options and significantly reducing cost compared to those Finiti cartos.

You sure can! Fin cartomizers are what I buy if I am in a serious pinch. Get a metal fork and stick a tine right in the hole where that white plastic piece is on the end of the carto ( the end that you puff). Pop the plastic off. After you do that get the clear o ring out. It's not attached comes out easy. Follow the refill instructions above. You can refill these many times, and I am amazed at how well they hold up. BTW a cheap $2 drip tip is a good idea. Regular 510 drip tips fit the Fin. Makes it easier to refill :) Good luck!

Yes they can! BTW, using a screw is a great way to pop out the top plastic bit. Just screw it into the hole until tight and pop it out. My wife and I started vaping using Fins - they really aren't too bad. I will join the others, however, in recommending a 510 eGo and a clearomizer of some sort. Bonus: The Fins have a 510 thread, so you can use them until the coils are shot.

Ugh I can't believe these companies that are hopping on the e cig bandwagon. I can't believe someone from the company told you they can't be refilled.

I hope you will realize what snake-oil salesmen the people at FIN are from this. Even if you are happy with your 510 battery, there are plenty of much less costly alternatives and more freedom.

Thank you! I see how to do it! Now my question is...which "juice" is best? And do I buy it online?

And one more thing...could you please explain what a 510/ego/clearo setup is?

I truly appreciate the info.

(I apologize for my ignorance, but there's such an overwhelming amount of information online, it's difficult to know exactly what I need.)

Thank you for your help! Now how/where do I get a $2 drip tip? And what is a 510 drip tip?

I'm grateful for your input (and appreciate your patience for my ignorance). :)

Yes, you can refil them, same as CleanCig, Metro or any other of those cigalike mas merchandiser/gas station/truck stop varieties. My sis in law has them. I found a spring off a pair of old nail clippers (the pliers looking kind) that works perfectly to pull the caps off. Then just drop the juice into the filler (not down the hole in the center) and rotate the carto to let it saturate evenly. She says they take 20-25 drops to fill and her's get filled 8-10 times before she tosses them.

Mount Baker Vapors is a good place to shop for liquids. Johnson Creek is another good one, albeit a little pricey.

eGo and 510 describe the threading compatibility between batteries and atomizing systems, such as the cartridges you have. Any eGo device will fit an eGo battery and any 510 device will also because the eGo threading system suppports both (510 on the inner threads, eGo on the outer. The 510 batteries need an adapter to accept eGo threaded devices. It sounds complicated now but it's really not once you get the hang of it.

Eventually, you are likely to want something more satisfying than Fin. The limited flavors, the small battery and the hassle of the cartridges will all come into play. There are systems available for under $50 that are an order of magnitude better, and there's a world of flavors available that Fin doesn't offer.

The eGo convention is the most widely used and there and a ton of options available.

If you browse the forum a bit, you will notice that the vast majority of the people here will recommend against buying e cig products from Walmart, gas stations, convenience store and so on.

There is a good reason for that: They are 1) extremely expensive. 2) often proprietary, meaning that they do not want you to go buy liquid elsewhere, you are stuck with there crap 3) usually pretty bad.

You will see that most people will suggest getting something that does not look like a cigarette, because there smaller size means a smaller battery and that means.... a very short battery life.

People here will usually suggest you getting things that looks like this:

and eventually.... if you go totally CRAZY!!! this:

I started with Fin also. Walmart has cartomizers which can be refilled. Search youtube for "refill cartomizer" to determine which of the many methods will work for you.

One day I was buying e-liquid and the store had a display model eGo. I tried it and was amazed at the immediate difference. Your Fin cartos will fit the ego, so I'd recommend trying the same thing. EGos aren't for everybody but most people prefer them for a few reasons. One of which is the batteries last longer.

My fin charger went haywire right after that test and Walmart took it back since it was less than 2 weeks old. I just went to eGo after that. If the charger didn't go bad I'd still be using Fin but refilling the cartos to save money but still buying the fin cartos since I did actually like the juice. In fact I was just going to email them today to see if I could get the juice but if they gave you that line, I don't think they will sell the juice by itself.
