IF price is not faCTOR JUST BUY MANY KITS LOL just get a 510 t. AND YOUR SO RIGHT EVERYWHERE IS PEOPLE SELLING .... FOR COMPANYS AND BIAS reviews AND .... LIKE THAT,this place bans people for giving real reviews. Everything is spam. this place is spam, youtube is spam, internet is spam but having said that you can find info if you look hard enuff. you might find real reviews of products that ecigforum has not yet banned for personal agenda

I would have to say most people here who link places to buy stuff isn't spam, but rather places that they have used themselves, and liked the product/service they received. Also a lot of the youtube reviews are from people who are trying to help the community. Look at PBusardo or Grimm Green. They get most of their stuff for free now, but they aren't biased, they let the community what is good and what sucks.

People here are helpful for noobs, and vets alike. And I have seen mods ban people here for advertising things all the time.

yep, i keep hearing good things about the volt. i'm considering getting a kit for the times you don't want to stand out when you're vaping, you know? i usually love pulling out my ego twist with the vivi nova on it and showing it off, but there are times you want to blend in and don't want to get strange looks. everybody raves about the volt, and i like the idea of having a cig a like with a pcc...those tiny batteries definitely need backup.

First, do not get the blu system. It is overpriced and nit very good. I had to return mine because 70% of the cartos didn't even work.

Check out Smokeless image. They are much cheaper and have a better product. The 78mm battery last 3-4 hours. The cartos last a long time and can be refilled. They gave awesome customer service and fast shipping. Very reasonably priced and there is a 15% off coupon. Here's a video to help.

Smokeless Image Volt Demonstration and CE3 Cartomizers - YouTube

I do not work for smokeless image. I quit a 1 1/2 PAD habit with the volt system.

the only good thing about the blu and other disposable e-cigs you find at convenience stores and gas stations is that they might get people interested in taking another step towards vaping. hopefully, they will find this forum and educate themselves a little before getting sucked into something they may regret. for the price of one of those fancy blu starter kits, you can get yourself a decent ego twist or something similar-maybe even two-and a charger. you can also pick up a few clearomizers or tanks, and some decent e-juice. they're the gateway to "real" e-cigs and vaping.

...and i'll admit to picking up a disposable blu or a cheap gas station cig-alike whenever i get stuck with dead batteries.

Glad to help and that you are happy with it. AltSmoke is an excellent company to order from.

What size batteries did you end up choosing and what juices? How are the clearomizers working for you?

I got the 1000mah batteries, just seemed to be a waste not to, since they are only $3 more.

As for juice, I got Ice tobacco and Cherry. I've only tried the Cherry so far but it's good. Only thing I wonder about, is the juice seems thicker than what I've seen in review videos and such, but maybe its just perception. Clearomizers hit wonderfully and since new heads are only about 2 bucks they should last me indefinitely, correct?

Anyone have some suggestions for the best place to get juice from?

One question, the product info for the clearomizers says they should work well with 3.0v-4.2v devices. Does that mean if I use higher voltage it will burn them out or something? Also how do the different ohm heads and other things affect what voltage to use?

Thanks again for your suggestions, I am as happy as I could be!

I was getting so sick of smoking real cigs again, it was just time to finally do some research and buy some decent hardware. Especially after I spent $10 on something called "Finity" from Walgreens that claimed to be equivalent to 2 packs, but went dead after only using it for a couple hours.

Edit: Also what does the 50/50 60/40 20/80 refer to?

Everyone has their favorite juice vendor, and I assume most use multiple vendors for different juice. There's some threads around with like the top 3 that people like. My favorites are Mister E Liquid, and MtBakerVapor. Many people also like Juicy Vapor. It's really all about preference, and who has the flavors you like. I've tried like 7 different places so far, with a few more on my list...but I'm trying to hold off :p

Good Luck :)

Ah here's one thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...discussion/304212-top-5-vendors-e-liquid.html

50/50 etc refers to the PG/VG ratio, most people use a mix, I generally use 70pg/30vg

Good choice, those could last you almost twice as long as the 650 mah batteries would have. They are moderately longer though, and by the time you add an attachment on top of it, they are plenty long and possibly not pocket-worthy. You may consider getting a lanyard for your batteries. Hung from around your neck, your device is always near and you won't misplace it.

Nothing lasts forever. They should last you 2-4 months at minimum of relatively steady usage if you can change out the heads. That is the first thing to go on them.

For high quality juice and large selection of different types of flavors, I'd personally recommend Virgin Vapors, VapeRite, and Dark City Vapors. I'm quite sure that all three offer samplers which could save you from wasting money on larger sized bottles should you not like them. Juice is so subjective as far as individual flavors go, just choose what sounds or looks good to you.

One question, the product info for the clearomizers says they should work well with 3.0v-4.2v devices. Does that mean if I use higher voltage it will burn them out or something? Also how do the different ohm heads and other things affect what voltage to use?
If you use those clearo's with a voltage higher than 4.2v, you may notice some burnt taste, if so, cut down the voltage a little and don't go higher again. Did the clearo's come with extra heads? Some vendors include multiple heads with different ohm ratings. If you find that you want to experiement with higher voltage, you may need to get replacement heads of a higher ohm rating. Not sure, they didn't have changable heads for clearos the last time I bought clearomizers. The subject of ohms and voltage can be a little complicated, and a little more than I wish to go into in this thread.

Thanks again for your suggestions, I am as happy as I could be!

Again, happy to help a fellow vapor! The ratio stands for the pg/vg ratio of juices. Pg seems to hold more flavor and throat hit while vg provides more vapor and maybe some sweetness to the juice. Some people are adversely sensitive to pg, hence some vendors use all-vg in their juice. Vg is noticably thicker than pg, and may not wick easily. The 50/50 to 60/40 seems to be universally recognized as the standard base to begin with.

Honestly, you will not get that first cig in the morning buzz. That goes along with the cancer causing chemicals associated with smoking.
However you will get relief from cravings, and a certain satisfaction from vaping that is very much like smoking. Like any change, there are tradeoffs. Your health is definitely worth the few you will make here.
Welcome.
this is great advice could not have said any better. I had to draw the line myself and go with it and i'm glad i did.
