Hi all! I'm a total noob to vaping, although I have been lurking the forum and learning a ton for the last couple of weeks. I started with a lame Mistic kit from Walmart. I didn't hate it, but wasn't a fan of the flavor and found myself going back to regular ol' cigarettes. I don't want to give up, though...I'm asthmatic, and I need to quit analogs at this point.

So Friday I ordered a kgo kit from Hoosier e-Cig and I can't wait to get it. I couldn't find a better deal out there, and based on everything I read here, it was a logical next step for me. I also picked up some Boge 2.0ohm LR 510 cartomizers, and EGO Vision clearomizer 2.1-2.4ohm, drip tips and some sample size juices.

Question...What other essentials do I need?

I am new to the forum, but I have been vaping for a couple of months now. I started off with the Njoy that I bought from Walmart. That alone turned me off the idea of vaping altogether...until I discovered Smokeless Image from a dear friend and coworker. I must say, I enjoy vaping more than I ever did smoking. It's refreshing, not nasty, and you don't smell like an ashtry. I plan on sticking with it, but anyone starting out, PLEASE avoid the Njoy. This is not what vaping is all about...at least not in my opinion.

I did the same thing as you, last week.
The KGO is awesome. You'll definitely have a lot of fun figuring out this new hobby, and the KGO is a perfect learning tool.
You're gonna need to set aside some money for flavors, go ahead and start ordering them now...
And go ahead and buy a silver bullet, and a ProVari.
You may not know it yet, but you want one.

What is a ProVari and why is it so awesome? I've seen it mentioned around ECF, but I'm clueless about the variable voltage thing and why it's so superior. For that much money ($160 on sale), it better jump up and do a little dance!!

ProVari is basically the gold standard for variable voltage vaporizers.
Apparently, having more control of your device allows for a customizable experience.
Also, it's build quality is supposed to be very good.
... I've yet to see one dance, but it seems some of the vapers on this forum totally jump and dance for this thing!

Thanks Joe! I've noticed the excitement whenever someone mentions it too. It has my interest, for sure. Maybe one day I'll take the plunge, dance or no dance.

Meldee, I think the KGO kit from Hoosiers include a couple of atomizers, doesn't it. If not, you will want at least one. They are very handy for trying juices without committing a carto to a juice you may hate.

Congrats on the KGO kit. It's how I started. I now have a VTube (variable voltage) too, but I still like the KGO very much. It's relatively small size makes it my carry-around PV.

Hi Pappy. Thanks for the reco. It does come with a couple (one of the reasons I chose that kit). Now if only it would get here!!! ;)

Kgos are a good starting point. I love mine. You'll be happy with them for sure.

I've been at this a month myself, and gotta agree with the real challenge is to find juices you like. Personally, I'm getting quite the arsenal of juice around my place on that very same hunt

Couple vendors to check out that I've enjoyed:

vapedudes.com
(great deal when you first order at 40% off with code vapedudes, and if your one of the first 15 new people to use code fbfree for the day, it will wack off another 6 bucks on the order)

ecblendflavors.com
(very very inexpensive juices. Ive recently ordered a bunch from them. But I hear you need to really let the juices from ecblend steep, and sit out a while before getting there full effect)

Happy vapings! :)

Sounds like all you need now is some juice!

I'm a noob on here as well, and started with the Blu cigs back in April, and got a KGO about a month ago. I love it with the ego vision clearomizers, and the Boge LR 510, so it sounds like you made some good choices. Did the kit come with a cone? 'Cause it can look pretty funny with just the 510 cartomizer on it. The cones make it look more streamlined, and I feel like it holds the cartomizer in better.

I've also tried a lot of juices, and my favorites are from Backwoods Brew and Highbrow Vapor! Good luck! :)

The Kgo is an excellent choice for starting out and heck it's even a good choice when ever actually. The DO's are have 2 back up batteries. 2 chargers, a spare 5 pack of carto's or an extra atty and at lest 10 mil of juice on hand at all times. With regards to juice flavors, only your taste buds will know when you like a juice or not. Reviews can give you and idea of what to expect and which one will probably taste really bad but in the end I recomend ordering only small sample or 5 mil size bottles until you find a flavor you like. The juice quest is without a doubt the most challenging part of vaping. I personally am over 50 juices tried and only liking about 6 of them. Anyway, best of luck, keep on vaping and check in to let us know how it's going or if we can help.
