Hello there! This is my first thread although I've been reading the forum for weeks now.

I've been analogue free for 11 days, after smoking for 40 years, 3 packs a day. Switching to ecigs is almost like a dream to me. Years ago I had hoped that there would be such a device available, and here it is. I do not miss burning tobacco at all.

After trial and error...my first error buying a kit called "super cigarettes" from a now banned ebay seller, I realized this could really work if I had a better system. I then found the forum! I have since purchased a Joyetech 510, passthrough and have extra batteries and attys. The passthrough is excellent but the battery life on the 510 batteries is frustrating. I am constantly recharging.

I would like to either buy Riva or Ego batteries but don't know which to go for. I have to buy a new charger too.

Please, if you can, which would you suggest?

Thanks in advance! :)

They're about the same (eGo and Riva) in regards to size and battery life. eGo button sticks ON (seems to be a common problem) on one of my 3 eGo batts. The Riva button is smalled and harder to find :p.
you'll get the same performance from both, i think price should be the deciding factor..just my opinion..

i like the small joye510 batts when on the go, the eGo/Riva's at home.

If you look at the mAh size of each, that is an indicator for how long they will last. The regular eGo is rated 650, the RiVa 750. Then they started testosteroning them, and they're in 900 and 1000 mAh. If aesthenics don't matter and battery life is your primary consideration, you could look into the Hello 016. If you buy the whole kit it looks like a chubby eGo or RiVa. However, it does have a one piece cone-atomizer design and the reviews on said atomizer are not good. If you just get the battery, though, you can use your 510 atomizers and cartos, but the mAh rating on it is 1300, double the standard eGo.

Thanks SimpleSins for your reply!
Aesthetics and comfort are of importance to me. I can see handling something a little wider than the 510 but not that much. As to the Riva 750 to 1000mah, is that now the norm for it now or is it a special Riva that I'd have to be on the hunt for?

Thank you in advance. :)

A regular eGo battery with a 510 atty and cart on it is exactly the same length as my Kr8 - 117cm. That is a little over 1cm longer than a standard 510.

In terms of width, I'd say it's about twice as wide.

So it's not that big, really. Maybe the size of a quite small cigar.

I can handle a small cigar MistressNomad as one of the times I tried to give up smoking, I tried out small cigars. That didn't last very long, but they were comfortable. :) Thanks!

Woops, made a mistake.

I lined up my Kr8 and my 510 next to each other (I have tried an eGo a friend had, and I remember lining it up with my Kr8 and them being the same length)... but my 510 had a carto on it, which makes it shorter, heh.

With an atty and cart, there is only a 3mm difference between the 510 and the eGo, as far as length.

The eGo is really quite nice-looking, especially in brushed gold.

3mm isn't all that much larger, neat. :)

Burnished gold sounds lovely.

Thanks again and wishing you a beautiful day!

I was wanting something that was about the size of a cig to hang outof my mouth while working on something, but I have found that the riva works just fin, even without the hanging..lol

I can't hang the 510 out of my mouth either (probably the only thing I miss about smoking cigs)! BTW... I think I'm leaning towards the RIVA.

Thank you! I'm debating getting one battery, a charger and a cone now (which I could do for about $35) because I already have 4 510 attys. I still might get the kit and will keep strictlyejuice in mind. I just received a juice order from them yesterday. :)

Np they really stand behind their warranty. I have returned items under warranty to them before.

First post ever. Been analog free for 62 days now. I have recently got a Riva 510 from Eastmall.net. Great price and great to deal with. Took about a week to get to south Alabama and when one of the batteries was bad there was no problem they are sending me a new one. They have a new website and still working on it but it is easy to find what you are looking for. Good Luck
I smoked for 41 years and tried everything to quit but e cigs made it so easy. Just what I needed.

I have a kr808, joye 510 and ego regular and xl
but my favorite one is in the pic below, a little big but goes for days (literally)!

I'm still new too and this is really helpful! Thanks, SimpleSins!
