You mean I have to admit this to another human being without the shield of anonymity? Okay, sucking it up and calling Jay.
fmx - Jay could probably tap it, and screw it back out, get you a new screw, and all would be good. You might be able to try it yourself with one of those things you use to get stripped screws out, but if it was me I would let Jay handle it. 
You might want to try a powerful pen type magnet. I have backed screwes out like this before if they were not too snug.
