So about 1 week ago i bought my first ecig a CE5 with a 1300MAH Battery

Here is where my confusion starts here
i brought a ce5 starter kit but on the site its listed an a atomizer
but when i go onto Vapeking its classed as a clearomizer

Are one of the sites wrong? or am i just even more clueless? i am really finding it hard to find the correct information on the web i have tried the reddit subforum and checked over these forums but can't find an answer

I would provide links but im not allowed to
Thanks in advance for the help

a clearomizer is an atomizer with a clear tank that holds e liquid around the atomizer.

***EDIT***
a quick search for "vaping lingo" brings up this interesting page. It seems pretty accurate even though I didn't go through everything. It all seems to be stuff that you would pick up through osmosis but getting it in one lump form couldn't hurt.

Vaping Lingo - Vaper Fuel

have fun!

It's a clearomizer or tankomizer. You'll find different words meaning basically the same thing. Atomizer is the part of the unit that haets the liquid which in turn vaporizes it. It's takes some getting use to the different devices that are used in vaping but I promise it will start to make sense just be patient and keep asking those questions. Welcome to the ECF and the sometimes confusing world of vaping. ok, maybe more often confusing world of vaping. But it's so much fun so hang in there:thumb:

I just a few minutes ago saw a vamo 5 on ebay being advertised on a storefront as a mech mod!

The lingo is certainly inconsistent; you have to be carefull finding out exactly what you are paying for

And the lingo is likely to continue to evolve too as things develop

maybe next year instead of clearos, cartos, and rebuildables, there will only be cartos and ....rebuildables ?

Anything that screws on that battery, that you pull vapor from, is giong to be an atomizer. They have different types of atomizers. They have cleromizers, cartomizers, tankomizers, glassomizers (Aspire Nautilus is the BEST), rba (rebuildable bottom atomizer), rda (rebuildable dripping atomizer I use this type), rta (rebuildable tank atomizer I think the KAYFUN is the most popular of these types) and the genesis style atomizers. I think that covers most of the popular types. The best thing for you to do is find whatever style that gets you off analog cigarettes

Hang in there. It takes a while to figure things out. There is such diversity in such a young community (not the individuals) that the language is really NOT that exact. So it is OK and even expected that different places may call the same thing by different terms. I believe I read my first terminology page here on this forum. You must be logged in to see the pictures but frankly it would not hurt me to go back and review it again.

I wonder if the lingo is consistent even across the US. In other words if the lingo we use here in Texas matches the lingo in California.

:2c:There is a learning curve, I won't say it's slow, but it is long. At least from my POV I'm fairly new myself, and I think back to Christmas day when my son gave us our first ego's. As he showed me what do to and how to do it. I felt like I should be taking notes. After a short time he pulls out this big silver thing and started vaping on it, wow he reminded me of when my ex wife tried to cook. clouds and clouds of smoke, well actually vapor. He wiped the tip off and handed it to my wife told her to push the big button and try it. She almost choked. When I got it I knew I was hooked. I didn't get most of the lingo, then but now such a short time later I find myself thinking, hey I can help, I remember when I was there. Just sit back, be open, willing to learn, and vape on.
