Bought a handful of Kanger MT3's a while back and then got some T3S coils and the new base to let S version fit the M/T3's.
Had one of the T3S coils die on me yesterday.. Figured, might as well try to rebuild the coil.

It was surprisingly easy. A quick 4 wraps of 32ga Kanthal onto a 1mm silica wick, folded to give me 4mm, stuffed all back into place and trimmed and I'm up and running again!

I'm running 1.7ohms with a tighter draw, which I like better than the airy draw I get with the factory builds (I have 1.8 replacement coils).

Some days, it pays to have rebuilding supplies on hand!! :2cool:

The original coils have no NR wire on them as it is. Nor was the grommet burned or melted in anyway. While I will look at it again later today, I don't have any worries about it at the moment.

I have a bunch of "pre-coiled" wicks for Vivi tanks and I have to laugh at the amount of NR on them, as they don't even touch anything other than metal...

Now, if these were knock off kangers... I would worry about the plastic/rubber grommets right off.

No NR wire friend? Mmmm, combusted petroleum product (rubber).
Seriously though, what are your thoughts on that? After seeing what all R wire into the grommet does...well, I don't smoke TIRES so I got some NR. A skill, but so worth it when you are done.

The positive pin and the base act as no resistance wire. As long as the coils doesn't exit the grommet and lay on top of it it won't burn.
