I'm confused about impact of new laws on e-liquid availability

Am I correct that it is possible that within 3 months we will no longer be able to buy e-liquid for our PV's since they might be outlawed as an illegal drug-delivery device? If so, I'll have to stock up on 15 years worth of e-liquid since I'm 61 and that's stretching my potential lifespan since I already smoked a pack a day for 46 years. I'm freaking out! Finally found a solution that I can live with and it's gonna be illegal? 8-o

I suspect that it will be illegal only until they can tax it like they do other tobacco products. Suddenly, it will become a great alternative to smoking.

I'm stocking up with enough to slowly wean myself off the nicotine because I'm not going to pay any more tobacco taxes. I've paid more than enough of them in my 37+ years of smoking. They're not getting another dime from me.

K...maybe I'm missing something

But I thought the Supreme Court said that e-cigs where a tobacco product, not a drug delivery system.

and I only know of four states trying to restrict e-cig's use...and Idaho isnt one of them.

Now there is talk that they(the power that be) might try and limit the "Flavors" of e-liquids, but retailers could still sell tobacco flav, mental and Unflavored.

BCB---Welcome to ECF!! Please...don't freak out on us yet...Look at the SmokingEverywhere vs FDA thread HERE. This one post by JustJulie (and there is another post on down by Yvilla) will tell you where we stand at this point. We're not in the best position, but it actually could be a lot worse. When you have A LOT of time, you can read the rest of that thread to get a real good look at all we've been through.

Stocking up is never a bad idea!

I'm thinking that learning how to DIY the liquid is the way to go. It has an expiration on it, so if you stock up it's just going to go bad on you. Also: three states want an all out ban and California (my state - for now) only wants to ban it for minors; which means that it won't be able to be purchased on line because the vendor can't see my I.D. to check my age - this essentially could be like a ban because how else am I supposed to get my replacement parts and juice etc...Plus, if California gets enough backing for their proposition, they could slyly change a few words at the last minute making it a total ban.
