Provari Classic 2015 [VE878-ST3] - £134.95 : Vape Escape

Ok this just confuses me to no end. A mini body style, P3 menu and top cap.....but only 15w.....and no titanium option. What are they doing? Seriously I think they should just concentrate on getting a temp control system going to at least start to be competitive. Dont get me wrong Im a ProVarinati as much as the next guy......but why drop this 5w on an already unimpressive 20w device with a new "paint job". Not only that but everything new they put out lately gets released over in Europe first. Its made in USA.....just WHY?

It seems to go in line with the recent dealers first direction Provape has been on. Funny that there is no mention by Provape, of several new products in a row on the forum, they get found out by consumers and posted here.

Someone posted this somewhere else about a week ago, when I tried to find it again I could not find it, I am not really on the P3 band wagon, and I like my provari 2.5's the way they are. I guess I am a bit confused by this somewhat, it has the old chip, but has the new menu system? If that is the case I might just like it, The only P3 that I would consider getting is the celtic cross, I don't like the design of the other ones, but I also don't like reading all the problems that others are reporting with the P3's. Just my :2c:

I just read the specifications again, and it looks like it has the new chip.:(

New chip "menu" but only 15w. But I think they are shooting for a price point here of $150 US for a bigger share of the market? Im thinking we will see this hit the ProVape web site and B&Ms within the next couple weeks. Just glad I wasn't the only one not "getting" what was going on here. If they wanted new customers I seriously doubt a $150 15w unit is going to be much of a show stopper considering you can get just about anything you want under $30 that fires 15w. Ya the 2.5 fires 15w as well but the general public is going to read 15w and pass it up. I have to be honest this makes me worry about my favorite company.

I have to admit that I would be more inclined to get one of these than the P3, but I think that the new chip has some problems, and as long as I am seeing reports of problems, I will hold off. I have had one of my 2.5's for a year and a half, I use it everyday, and not one problem, I don't think I will get that from the P3, or this one. We will see though, maybe next year they will have their issues solved. The whole 15 w thing does not bother me that much, or even the 20 w. If I want to try a higher wattage devise their are plenty of them out there. If there are 2 reports of problems there are more that are not posting about them.

In case there's still any confusion...
I've spoken with a rep at Provape, and from what I was told, this model is the new base line.
This is essentially an update to the v2.5...well, a replacement for the v2.5 in regards to what Provape will be selling now. They've pretty much cleared out all the v2.5's (mini and long) with clearance prices.
This is the new "base model"...so that's why the "drop" in watts, and different functionality options from the P3.
I highly doubt it has the old chip. My educated guess says it's a form of the P3 chip, but scaled back a bit, to keep the price-point down, and make this the new entry-level Provari.
Personally I think it's a PERFECT option for a new vaper that would benefit from a Provari. Some new vapers won't, and this isn't for them.
I'm picking one of these up for my backup, so I can honorably semi-retire one of my v2.5's.
Anywho...just wanted to clear up the mystery that still seems to hang in the air about this New Classic...
I do realize that the last post in this thread was more than two weeks ago. I was doing a search, hoping for a new thread on this model...figured I'd drop some knowledge here in case someone else does the same search!
