so the fibers get clotted and there are chunks of juice at the bottom.. i take them out to clean, let them dry.. but the vapor just isn't the same. anyone know what i'm doing wrong? the taste is just not the same.

After a while they do get old. I replace mine with Fluval (the white filter from a tropical fish store or pet store). Others use tea bag filters and batting (for quilts).
My replacements taste fine! But the choice of how you refill is yours. Check out the threads on cart fillers.

I wouldn't mess with fluval or polyfill- both full of fibers that can burn...

ah alright.. guess i gotta buy the pyramid tea bags. i wonder if i can steep/drink the tea before doing the mod.. wouldn't want to waste it leaves 
I've been using polyfil in my 510 for 6 weeks and I tend to run awful hot, not one problem w/ "burning" or melting. Unless you run 100% dry and jam the batt on it's not an issue.

That was rude. Especially since the OP's problem had nothing to do with burning polyfill.
For the record, I use polyfill (batting) as well, and have never had a problem with burning or melting.
If you've only replaced your filler 5 times in 2-3 weeks, you're probably not changing it often enough. I notice that it starts to get "compacted" down into the cartridge after about 2 days, and no longer wicks liquid to the atomizer. I change mine 3 or 4 times a week.
well, actually.. it's been lingering. i haven't vaped as much since the clots/clog has made the taste really bad. just went to wal-mart for some pyramid tea bags, but they don't carry those. gonna hit one of the supermarkets tomorrow.
mrrunon, what type of PV/e-cig do you have? It might help to know what type of cart you're dealing with.
Also, are you using prefilled carts or carts you've filled yourself?
I'll admit, I don't 'clean' mine per say. I find even if they dry really well they're not the same and it takes a while to get back to normal. I just squeeze all the old juice out with a paper towel and roll the filler around in the towel. If it's still basically white I wipe out the inside of the cart and stuff the filler back in. That way I don't get a watered down taste.

I always use the tea bag before recycleing it for my carts. Use it, cut it at the seam, dump the used wet tea out and wash it. I don't like to waste anything.
i've got the joye 510.. it's definitely the fiber. went to wal-mart already, but they didn't carry the pyramids.

update: i found some costco (kirkland) brand tea laying around the house, and it's made from the same material as the lipton pyramid teabags... these work great!
Now- It's your turn to pass on this valuable information to the next 10 people with the same problem- they post this exactly thing up every 2 days or so- PTB is the answer.
