I am kind of scared of the protank 3, and I'll tell you why. I ordered a protank mini2 which I am waiting on coming in. Yesterday I called the local B&M to see if they carried the protank mini 2. They said yes. So I drove down today to get one NOW. Then I figured I'd have two and they would use same coils.

When I walked in they did not carry the mini 2. They were trying to sell me the old Protank mini. Then they told me about the aero. They had it in the case with a sign marked as Protank Aero. I bought it and it was the last one. As I am researching it via youtube tonight, I picked it up and looked at the front of it and it is a Protank 3. I am really ticked.

DH tells me that I should return it. I wish I could but I am pretty darned sure they won't take returns. I want to make the best of it now.
This one has the short dual coils and that ticks me off too. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the B&M.

Does anyone know if
#1. there is any way to get the Protank 3, to take either the same coils as the Protank mini?
#2. if not, then is there a way to get the pt3 to use single coils? Would buying an Aero bottom make it work? I want simplicity.

If you buy the Aero bottom, you will turn your PT3 into an aero. I can't remember whether you can use the single heads in it or not, but I don't think you can. I know you can't use the mini 2 heads. You definitely want the longer heads. Mine came with the short ones too, but I bought some long spares. I like the long ones better.

I love my PT3, and want an aero as well. I would go back to the B&M and point out to them that they gave you the wrong tank, and nicely ask if it was a mistake. (Maybe make them think you think it was an accident, so they don't get mad at first). Did it come in an aero box? The PT3 should have been less expensive than the aero. Also, the aero doesn't come with the shorter coils as far as I know, I may be wrong. But if they were all in an aero box, something is wrong there.

I wish my mini was a PT 2, but it is the old one. I got it cheap though, so it doesn't matter. The 2 is much better.

Anyway, your PT3 is a very nice tank. I hope you get it all sorted out.

I bought the PT 3 last month. Found I'm not a fan of dual coils, not sure why. So back to my PT II with the Aerotank base running single coils.

I've found that to be the perfect combination. For the first time, I can throw in a new head and vape. No messing with flavor wicks, no gurgle, no dry hits. I was over it until I found this combo. Hot tip... put an o-ring around the airflow ring to keep it from floating.

You can use pt1,and 2 coils in your pt3. For thin liquids like.my jungle.juice I.use a single pt2 head successfully with no leaks

Thanks for giving him the right information. I wasn't sure. It's nice to know that I can do that in my PT3 if I run out of heads for it!

i love my protanks. i have a pt2 that i use on my ego twist and 3 pt3s that i use on my vamo. one of my pt3 doesnt have any glass though it broke the other day when my vamo hit the floor, vamo was in tough mode so i was kinda ticked. planning on getting either some new glass or maybe finding some SS to replace the glass. going to try making some coils for it since i want more flavor from juices and faster wicking.
