As a complete noob to rba's. I successfully rebuilt not one but two Phoenix atomizers last night. Then tonight I took a stab and after 3 hours was successful at rebuilding my AGA-T+.

This video from JunkyRock13 helped me tremendously! ***AGA-T Genesis Rebuildable Atomizert & FREE Contest Giveaway*** (Electronic Cigarette) - YouTube

Using 400 SS Mesh, 32 gauge kanthal wire, and 5 wraps. I was able to pull off 2.3ohms. I did try 34 gauge kanthal wire but soon realized how hard it was to work with.

It only took less than 3 hours to build and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Also using the drill bit method, I didn't really have any major issues with hot legs or hot spots.

Vapor production and flavor is AMAZING! However, I'm having a little trouble with the throat hit that I normally am use to. I'm using 50/50 PG/VG at 24mg. I tried moving the air hole around but I haven't figured out how to get the throat hit that I'm used to. Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.

Speaking of air holes. The air hole on the cap doesn't bother me at all and I left the fill hole screw in it's place. The drag was to airy for me when I left the screw out.

One question I do have. Would there be any difference in vaping experience if I used a 325 mesh? How would it effect vapor production, flavor, and throat hit?

It looks like your coil needs a little adjusting. In the first picture, the top wrap is glowing more than the lower ones. The second wrap from the top is a little hot, as well. It's hard to see, but it looks as though your top wrap might be a little loose. Check and make sure there are no spaces between the coil wraps and the wick.

for your TH question...i struggled with TH immensely until i got into RBAs. what i have discovered early in was that your draw affects the TH. take a long, and very slow drag. if you can hear the air coming in through the hole, youre drawing too fast. if that doesnt help, its gotta be your build. take Rule's advice IMO.
as far as mesh grades go, if i were you id experiment with 500 before 325. you may get more TH from 325, but youll likely get that from 500 as well and with 500 youll get the superior wicking as a bonus.

Thanks for pointing that out. I just noticed that myself this morning after looking at the original picture I took. I just got so excited last night when they glowed up at the same time that I totally missed those hot spots. It could explain the minor issues I'm having.

Thanks for the tips. I have 325 mesh on the way and based on your suggestions I just put in an order for 500 mesh. I'm figuring that it's gotta be my build. I'm vaping on my Phoenix RBA that I rebuilt the night before with the same mesh/coil that I used for my AGA-T+ and I'm getting a much better vaping experience from Phoenix RBA. Not that the AGA-T+ is bad but I have a feeling it could be much better.

Greatly appreciate the advice!

Congratulations on your success! I just setup my AGA T+ a few days back and it was my first time as well, it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be and watching the tutorials on Youtue over and over really helped me out. I thought it was a great learning experience and actually a lot of fun (I like totinker with things). I actually am thinking about rebuilding it again tonight try to different mesh and gauge Kanthal just to experiment, plus it gives me an excuse to tinker some more ;)

Thanks and many congrats right back to you for your first build. Plus, I'm right there with you. This was such an awesome learning experience and such a blast. Shoot, even with that I've learn just this morning makes me want to go back and rebuild it again. What's worse now is that I'm totally hooked on Genesis style atomizers that I want to buy several more now. It's going to be hard pressed to deal with my Viva Nova's from this point forward.

good luck on the build, the top of the wick from photos looks a little high, now maybe the newer aga has alot of space to the top cap, if the wick is to high it can be very close to the underside of top cap making the top cap a little hot or if to close can touch it. usually the top of wick should be no higher then top of positive post. i would lower by 1/8 inch. thanks
