I'm jealous! I want some new 'vape buds'

My tastebuds STILL like to play tricks on me from time to time. A flavor I once loved will suddenly seem blah, one I never liked will become more appealing, etc. I read soo many raves about Capp. Smooth and Hopscotch that I just couldn't wait to vape it...only to find out I couldn't taste anything. My tastebuds have changed a lot since then, though, so I've bought more Hopscotch and it is steeping presently as I tap my nails on the table and stare at the bottle. LOL

I feel for ya cause seems I get in that boat with no oars quite often myself. Hang in there and keep trying it cause those buds will come around when ya least expect it.

I too have envy of all those that can taste all the flavors and undertones of flavors as I have a problem tasting all those things. I started vaping in August of 2010 and have found that having most of the flavors I order either doubled or tripled has helped. I do that mainly so I can mix it down without losing a lot of flavor too. Wyat Earp is one of my absolute favs but I don't get the licorice taste from it as others claim to. Another flavor I can taste anytime is the Banana Cream Pie from TV. I so love that stuff. Geoff's blend is another one I really enjoy as it is strongly flavored but I had to let that sit a couple months before I could appreciate it.
I just ordered some other tobacco flavors from freedomsmokes and they steeping right now so soon I will see how they taste.
I think the long term smoking must play a role in all this lack of tasting things well; I also smoked something over 37 years.
I vape several different flavors during the day as constant vaping on any one for a long period of time causes me to lose the flavor of it also. Well, except for the banana. It seems to work longer than the others for me so far.
Being taste compromised sucks but maybe time will heal it. I had just expected more after this many months.
Strange though it isn't that way with food!

No, it's not the same with food! I can still taste the difference between cheap chocolate and good chocolate. I taste somethings that I loved before and didn't find them as good (Whopper with cheese). Other things became heavenly (Nutella). Who knows what will happen in the end?

I have had similar problems with my taste. I do highly recommend getting 2x flavor. That has helped me with Cap. Smooth and Peanut Butter Cup. I also hope to get my buds back but in the mean time this has helped with their juices. I think they side on the lighter side of flavorings to begin with. Just my experiences. Good Luck!

i agree! i just got some flavors in with 2x! i always get 2x now....they taste great! i can only imagine they will be better (if possible) as they steep.... started the 2x when my buds died on me....2x fixed em right up....the flavors are poppin now!

I've been vaping for 2 months now, and I've notice that flavor is disappearing on me for pretty much all liquids I try over the past week. Tongue scraping helped a little bit, but I was worried that the flavors are dissipating in the liquid! Anybody else have their tastes diminish like that?

I've never had the flavor of fsusa juice dissipate over time. Quite the opposite, they get more flavorful. But, I have had times when I couldn't taste juices very well. If you have a strong menthol or mint flavor, try vaping that. That has helped me in the past. I think sometimes you just have to wait a few days, and the taste comes back. Weird how that happens. But, believe me, I know how you feel. It is very frustrating! Good luck!

It's not the taste of the juices that diminish. It's our taste buds that take a vacation--especially if we constantly vape one certain juice. The taste will come back. Just try switching to something completely different for a while. When you go back to the "tasteless" one, it will be a whole new ballgame!

Thanks guys, I did a little bit of research on the "taste wall" and I see I'm not alone. Unfortunately I have only one juice on hand because I've had a couple of liquids go bad within 3 weeks of purchase and been sent back to the vendor (Not FSUSA). I'm dying for another flavor right now haha

I don't taste much of the fun flavors either from any vendor, but I can taste Maple Walnut from this vendor. Others can smell it though.

Thanks so much tgcrna! I ordered 3 small samples from FSUSA yesterday, Lychee, Mango and Snickerz, but I would love to try anything else. I actually don't care for tobacco flavors much anymore, I like desserts and fruits as vapes. I've never actually had any of their juices before but it looks like they have a great following. I'll PM you my details.

I have never found a chocolate from anywhere that I like to vape. It all tastes "fake" or chemical to me and I love to eat chocolate!

I have some days when nothing tastes good but I just vape anyway and it soon passes.

I do better with fruity vapes and menthol. Very sweet vapes are just not to my liking - hang in there - it will get better!
