After 3+ years of vaping, I have had a few key realizations that have affected my attitude towards vaping and buying habits.

One, unless the vendor is a true mixmaster, I can usually anticipate what a juice is going to taste like without even buying it... There are only a handful of flavoring companies and I feel confident saying that many vendors use three or four of them regularly.

Two, there are a lot of new vendors out there... I remember when there were only 3 or 4 popular juices out there that had fancy names and ambiguous descriptions... like Boba's Bounty, Casablanca, etc... now the market is over-saturated with hand-made, artisan liquid with mystery names for the mystery palate. unicorn toenail, dragon's cyst and karma bicycle... with descriptions like: if the lead singer from jethro tull's third uncle twice removed had a favorite flavor ice cream this would surely be it...

Three, I remember when we just started describing e-liquid like fine wine... and using terminology one typically learns at Cornell University's Hotel School... now it's the norm...

and I am so happy to see vaping grow... and to see so many new companies...

What I really want to know is this... You've been vaping for a while now... you've spent hundreds of dollars trying to find the perfect liquids... you've surrendered hundreds of ML's to the PIF thread and the Trade/Sell thread...

I want to know what you have discovered that truly stands out in some way...

I want to know if you have found any juices that you feel are truly different... and perhaps your description of what makes them different...

Perhaps it's not the flavor, but the performance of the juice...

Perhaps you tried something and didn't really love it, but you truly appreciate the effort and creativity and process that went into making this juice...

for example... obviously this Pluid stuff is quite unique... I don't believe it exists anyway... not until someone sells or trades me some... I have been trying to get it since MM made his first post about it in a DIY thread in 1968...

This week, I made three juice buys... from 3 vendors that I seemed to ascertain are doing some really different stuff to juices... Fuzion, goodlife and hybrid creations...

I hope I picked well.

Feel free to help me... or each other pick something different...

and... I am dying for someone to make a juice named Velvet Lachance after the fictitious beverage from Rifton's Bee and Barb (Skyrim)

I would argue that these vendors truly stand out for me...
in no order - and just to name a few:

Moondrop... I have been vaping three years and tasted nothing as gritty and potent as what they make... it's dirty delicious IMO... Whenever I order from them, I can count on trying something that I have never tried before. The liquids are sometimes dark and ominous... the flavors are different to me... the only juice I can readily identify the flavorings is his ry4 creation...

Alien Visions... yeah, they've been around a while.. and a have a few unique flavors... but it's the thickness and performance of this juice that is unrivaled... I know Boba's and Gorilla's are the big sellers... but I have always been most partial to his Irish Cream... don't you go run out and buy it though... I have angered 7/10 people who did this... because it is such a harsh and ferocious vape... I love it... I think it tastes more like booze than an eliquid.... there's truly nothing like it.

BWB... I can always count on Don to keep me guessing... I am indeed a fanboy... no apologies... I like the guy and I appreciate the variety of flavors in his flavor collection... I also like that he doesn't kill everything with flavoring. If BWB was a restaurant, they;d surely serve italian, korean, french, german, turkish and chinese cuisine...

Ahlusion... I truly believe that they are making some of their own flavorings for their flavors... Their Teas really show it...

High Brow... I haven't tried them in several months, but I felt their non-tobacco flavors... particularly fruits showed serious originality in flavor... I am not a huge fan, but they;d have to make my list of unique juices... and their communication and customer service was among the best I have ever experienced.

Puresmoker's Silver Leaf Menthol... I promise you that no one makes a juice anything like this. The tobacco base is so pungent that I had to force myself to like it initially... (It was expensive)... and the menthol is probably the strongest and purest I have ever tasted... if you like menthol and can appreciate unique absolutes or nets, then try tis one... there truly is nothing like it. It's a love or hate juice for sure. When I read descriptions of pluid, they make me think of this liquid.

Vaporcast Mentholated juices... among the purest, strongest menthols out there... unrivaled in my opinion as a dedicated menthol vaper.
The performance and mixing of flavors is among the best... if not the best I have ever had...

you?

Fun and true post, lasttango. Re Ahlusion, definitely. I'm skeptical of myself because all humans are suggestible and it's fun and harmless to get excited about new products. But I've comparison-tasted Ahlusion (strawberry to strawberry, etc.) with other lines and whatever Wlad is doing, it's uniquely excellent. I'm with you on Highbrow, too - the Orange Sangre and Limoncello seem to me to be in a different category than orange and lemon flavors I've previously tried - not candy, not artificial to me at all - top shelf. But I have here a bottle of Highbrow's Tiramisu (very nice) and Ahlusion's. Side by side Ahlusion simply knocks it out of the ballpark - really layered, authentic, delicious.
I don't vape tobacco or mentholated juice so can't speak to some of the others you mentioned... and am waiting on the three you just ordered to hear more from people like... you. :)

Haven't ordered from Fuzion because happy reviewers tend to say things like, "Just like Red Bull! Just like Koolaid! Just like Stripey Gum!" - which is fine but not quite the something different I'm looking for.
Or Pluid, which is green. We all have our little prejudices.

great thread lasttango ... I'll add one of my favorites just for the sake of general knowledge and uniqueness ... I'm sure many have already tried this, may be old news for some, but still relevant in the world of naturally extracted tobaccos (NET's)

want2vape Cold Infusion (now called CI) ... Notes of peach, pine, green tea and more, a robust tobacco lover's cigar vape, the non-tobacco elements take a back seat in this excellent and satisfying cigar vape

it is a naturally extracted tobacco made from the actual Drew Estate cigar, so there is no question about flavor accuracy ... it has a unique taste to me, no other NET or lab juice tastes similar ... each puff can reveal a different subtlety (at least to me) it's a contemplative vape, not for all day or mindless vaping ... the description makes it sound like it would be a light, fruity, flavored tea vape, but it is not, it is strong, it is a cigar after all

this is a 46/54 PG/VG Blend, heck that ratio in itself is unique

the only negative is that it is one of the "dirtier" NETS, I can only push 5-6 ml thru a carto before it starts to clog ... this is typical of most NET's, to varying degrees ... it is worth sacrificing a carto for the experience, imho ... w2v was one of the very first NET vendors and imo are still better than most of the recent competiton

you should only try this if you like cigars, can taste subtle notes and don't mind sacrificing a carto

I look forward to finding more hidden gems in this thread :)
