Hi Everyone,
Need HELP!! I’m using PA’s Red Bull flavoring @ 50% making
30ml @ 24mg Nic strength and 5 drops of Splendex. Makes a really great sweet
Red Bull Flavor but after 2 or 3 days WHAM!!! The flavor and the sweetness are
gone??? Sometimes I have add PGA and EM to my mix could this be the culprit? Or
maybe my PG/VG, I only use USP PG and VG I’m STUMPED. Has this happen to anyone
else?? So far it’s only happen on this flavor, but I’m new to the DIY mixing scene.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Again.

Since you mention that you could taste the flavor for 2 or 3 days, this may be the same thing that's reported with vaping too much of the high voltage cinnamon flavors. I've seen a lot of people report that after so long with something like Atomic Cyanide they get to where they can't taste it. Try switching to another flavor for a day or two and see if it makes any difference when you go back to the first one.

Wth is correct in mentioning that too much flavor is as bad as not enough, but I don't think that would be the problem if you felt the flavor was correct for several days.

50% seems to be a lot of flavoring. I've heard that sometimes too much flavoring can cause it to have no flavor (or something like that). Maybe that is the problem???
Red Bull has a very weak flavor to it, so that is reason for the high precentage ratio.. But they say to much of anything can be bad. I can try lower percentage and see if it last longer?

Thanks

I have tried that, not vaping that flavor that is for a couple of days. But still have the same results. It still has a strong smell of Red Bull but no flavor. I have even tried adding more flavor and sweetner, but still nothing helps? Its really werid..

Another culprit of lost flavor is needing to change your cart filler. It seems like it is fine and then all of a sudden not much flavor.
PGA should give you a better TH and EM is a different sweetness than Splendex.
Also check your atty and see if it needs blowing out etc.
I also put currently favorite juices in little 10ml bottles and refill them as needed from the larger bottles which are stored in cool and dark.

sunlight and heat can diminish flavor. To fix this keep your liquid bottles in a dark container in the fridge.

i leave my liquids on my desk in direct sunlight and they always lose flavor. one day i plan on getting a tiny fridge for my juices.
I have heard about this too, All my juices are keeped in a cool room with no direct sunlight just regular electric lights. I also use the amber colored bottles most of the time, but some are clear plastic bottles. But then again it only has happen with particular flavor.
Thanks for the feedback....

Yea, I should have stated this. I only use 510 boge carto's 3.4 ohm on a 6 volt V3..

I would call Linda at TPA. She has a wonderful knowledge of chemistry and may have the solution. (pun intended) She has made extra strong flavors for those that vape at higher voltage. The molecules may be destroyed at that voltage...some flavors cannot withstand the HV mods IMO. I never could enjoy coconut (a delicate flavor) until extra strength came along. AND...use those extra flavorings sparingly or else they will taste like .... after a few days. Maybe the same is happening to you...dunno????
