I'm never buying e-juice online ever again.

So, its come to this. I have been getting nothing but disappointment buying juices online ever since I've been vaping. First I started with Ms T's Bakery, who's flavors were actually really great. But alas, her customer service went to @#$% and the last order I bought from her site took 2 months to arrive. So I said never again. I decided to transfer to Mt Baker Vapor since I had heard so many great things about them. I've placed about 4 orders with them, trying about 8 different juices so far. I can honestly say I wasn't in love with any of them, but they were still vapable. However, my latest order with them as been an absolute horror. Both the juices I ordered taste exactly like dishwashing soap... even with two weeks steep time. I might have been a little tired, but I could have sworn I didn't accidentally place an order for the 'Dishwashing Soap' flavor.

Anyway, I wish I could receive my money back but unfortunately that's probably not going to happen. Its really unfair how sites can make a huge profit off of sending people things that are absolutely awful. So this is the part where I give up, give up on giving these well reviewed sites a chance, and taking leaps of faith with my hard earned money. From now on a real vapor bar with tasting opportunities is the only purchase I will ever make.

On the bright side, I did go to a local shop a few days ago and got the most incredible custard flavor. I am in love. Well, except not with the fact that it cost 3 times more than online e-juice, but oh well. At least I know I love what I'm buying, which ultimately makes it worth every penny. :2c:

Buying e-juice is the hardest part. I do sympathize with you!

MBV's juices (many of them) DEFINITELY need to be aired-out and steeped. The airing out is very important (IMHO). Don't just leave the cap off. Open it, squeeze the air out, let new air in, put the cap back on. Do this once a day until the air you are squeezing out smells nice.

Then again, there are MBV flavors I just don't like. Their cream-related flavors are, for me, a total miss (sweet cream, whipped cream, vanilla custard, bavarian cream, I think there's another I tried). I just don't "get" them. Any cheesecake flavor from any vendor is a high risk.

At least you have a B+M nearby where you can taste juices!

OP, I'm with you on your frustration. Luckily for me, I literally have a B&M to sample on nearly every few blocks in my county. Fortunate in that regard. There are only a couple of vendors who I trust to not let me down on the "made to order" side of things. There are just way too many vendors out there at this point. WAY too many. For an industry to expand so quickly and aggressively, well, something's gotta give. The MTO's who survive will be the ones who deliver consistency and excellent customer service.

And no disrespect, but MBV is so worshipped here on ECF for their mediocrity, I can almost believe they own this site and compensate a contingent of posters in free juice for positive comments. Great for noobs but once the novelty of cheap juice wears off, eyes begin opening. And real juice discovery begins. Happened to me, too. True story.

cheap ejuice is pretty straightforward....one or two flavors mixed into some PG/VG.

It's convenient for people to buy it, so they do.

If you want to try DIY I heartily suggest it. At least you can start to get close to what you already know you like, and you won't spend a lot of $$ doing it, nor waiting for vape mail.

Meanwhile, some of the juice you mention needs long steeping time. 2-3 weeks.

you went from a mid to high tier juice to a low tier juice...

there's going to be some noticeable difference.

if you want some GOOD juice, buy from one of the following:

Five Pawns
Nicoticket
Alice in Vapeland
theSteamCo

and if you want Nicoticket, Kent Brooks posts here. just ask him for 0mg. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to do it for you

^Yes, but there's a couple others like that here.

The OP's situation is common. We all suffer through this. It would help if more companies offered 3-6mL sample bottles, or full-on "sampler packs". I can highly recommend The Vapor Chef. Sells 6mL samples for $4, highly customizable, has Zero-Nic, and gets a real deep flavor in everything I've tried.

One helpful strategy is to stick to a single flavor when purchasing from a new vendor. Make sure you like the levels and brands of flavoring they use. In my experience, juice mfrs start running into problems when they start mixing multiple flavors. They may intend for just a "hint of xxxxx", but after 2 weeks the xxxxx overpowers the other flavors and makes it gross. It really is a crapshoot.

To follow-up to that, Kent has posted in the Nicoticket sub-forum that they are in the process of upgrading their lab space to have an area designated for 0 MG juice.

Check out their sub-forum for updates, since I am sure you wont be disappointed in the product.

definitely agree with a couple other recommendations as well: Steam Co and Ahlusions and would add Plume Room

I tried MBV one. 5 flavors that came highly recommended - I couldn't vape a single one of them. I luckily found some great vendors that I've been very happy with.

Mountain Oak Vapors
Fuzion
VapeDudes
Ahlusion - great company, their juice just doesn't do it for me personally. A lot of people swear by them.

MBV, IMHO, is like the Dollar Tree of e-juice. Large selection, cheap, but ultimately lower quality. Don't let that color your view on the other "gourmet" mixers out there.

If you are dissatisfied with the juice you are purchasing.......it is time for you to get into DIY. I so prefer the juices I have made or been given. They just taste so much better to me. There are a lot of good threads on getting into it. And it is so easy to do once you get all the startup supplies. A friend sent me some Blackberry Walnut she made and it is so delicious. I do feel for people in your situation because we've all been there at one point or another. No one likes wasting money on anything and your really can't always go by the reviews. Good luck to you.

I'll second 5 Pawns (if you have the budget) and The Steam Co (very reasonable - about $14 for 30ml of the non-reserve flavors).

I've heard very mixed things about MBV, enough of them negative to never really have wanted to order from them.

Alice in Vapeland gets a lot of good reviews but if you can't buy it, that doesn't help. :)

I've heard good things about Velvet Cloud, never anything bad.

Giantvapes.com has a big assortment of juice from different brands and I liked all of the ones I ordered from them recently.

But I'd recommend The Steam Co if I had to pick one vendor with good juice and good customer service at reasonable prices.

Edit: I just wanted to add I've made lots of regrettable purchases at B&Ms too even after tasting. :(

I have a box full of stuff I wish I could get my money back on. The places that have quality liquid are fewer than the ones that do not. Bottom barrel prices usually get you bottom barrel juice. Use a good company, wait for a coupon. See Deals and Steals. Or buy the deal of the day with a good company.
1) Ahlusions
2) Highbrow
3) The Plume room (deal of the day)
4) Mountain Oak Vapors (deal of the day)
5) Steam Juice
these are all good quality ejuice vendors that have sales and do not disapoint
