I'm never buying e-juice online ever again.

Definitely DIY. I have been there,, Spent so much on juice I hated.. Unusable .

Diy is cheap and you can start for very little. esp. since you are at 0 nic.. Stay in the family of flavorings you like and mix away.

You wont probably go into another B nd M again once you find what you like.. save your money.. and your time...

So, its come to this. I have been getting nothing but disappointment buying juices online ever since I've been vaping. First I started with Ms T's Bakery, who's flavors were actually really great. But alas, her customer service went to @#$% and the last order I bought from her site took 2 months to arrive. So I said never again. I decided to transfer to Mt Baker Vapor since I had heard so many great things about them. I've placed about 4 orders with them, trying about 8 different juices so far. I can honestly say I wasn't in love with any of them, but they were still vapable. However, my latest order with them as been an absolute horror. Both the juices I ordered taste exactly like dishwashing soap... even with two weeks steep time. I might have been a little tired, but I could have sworn I didn't accidentally place an order for the 'Dishwashing Soap' flavor.

Anyway, I wish I could receive my money back but unfortunately that's probably not going to happen. Its really unfair how sites can make a huge profit off of sending people things that are absolutely awful. So this is the part where I give up, give up on giving these well reviewed sites a chance, and taking leaps of faith with my hard earned money. From now on a real vapor bar with tasting opportunities is the only purchase I will ever make.

On the bright side, I did go to a local shop a few days ago and got the most incredible custard flavor. I am in love. Well, except not with the fact that it cost 3 times more than online e-juice, but oh well. At least I know I love what I'm buying, which ultimately makes it worth every penny. :2c:

You can decide never to order e-liquid again.....based on TWO companies out of THOUSANDS of companies, or you can do the intelligent thing, and take a step back, do a TON of more research, and try out maybe 3 or 4 more e-liquid companies with SMALL orders , say $10-25 each.

Here is a thread of my experience with the 13 vendors I've tried thus far:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ed-what-has-been-your-overall-experience.html

I'm sorry you had bad experience, personally I've never ordered from Mrs. T, or MBV. I've heard Mrs.T's customer service went to crap, and personally I would never order from MBV....nothing about that vendor is appealing to me.

Just remember, you get what you pay for, in my case, this is true for e-liquid.

I highly recommend you try some trusted, reliable vendors. I get that MBV is a big name around here.....but the company isn't for everyone. I recommend you look into NiteLiteVapor, Fuzion, Roar, VelvetCloudVapor,

OP, I'm with you on your frustration. Luckily for me, I literally have a B&M to sample on nearly every few blocks in my county. Fortunate in that regard. There are only a couple of vendors who I trust to not let me down on the "made to order" side of things. There are just way too many vendors out there at this point. WAY too many. For an industry to expand so quickly and aggressively, well, something's gotta give. The MTO's who survive will be the ones who deliver consistency and excellent customer service.

And no disrespect, but MBV is so worshipped here on ECF for their mediocrity, I can almost believe they own this site and compensate a contingent of posters in free juice for positive comments. Great for noobs but once the novelty of cheap juice wears off, eyes begin opening. And real juice discovery begins. Happened to me, too. True story.

Great post.

That is pretty much what I was hinting at regarding MBV. The reason I've never tried them, and that they aren't appealing to me....and the reason they are so cheap, is because all of their e-liquids are basic liquids that you can make yourself. They are mediocre, nothing is special about their e-liquids. The thing that makes them so successful isn't really excellent liquids....it is really, really cheap prices that no one else has. Again, you get what you pay for .

And I'm not knocking MBV. They fill a specific niche. They offer the LOWEST prices you can find , more or less.

What you need to do OP, is research what the NICHE is for each specific vendor before you order from them. It seems like you are looking for high quality e-liquid, with excellent customer service, and fast shipping. There just so happens to be quite a few companies just like this....so then you take it a step further. Are you looking for a company that specializes in fruit flavors? Bakery flavors? Tobacco flavors?

Try to write down exactly what you want in an e-liquid vendor......THEN start researching , THEN try 3-4 diff companies, like I said, small orders, and if you did enough research, I can almost guarantee you will like at least one, hopefully most of them!

So far as B&M stores for ejuices are concerned, for me, the flavors were too medicinal or chemical tasting. One juice varied in taste and vapor every time I purchased some. After five times I gave up. The inconsistency was just to common. One time I got a "Newport"-style juice and it smelled and tasted similar to car wax.

I deal with basically two online vendors exclusively, and those are: Ahlusion and GoodEjuice.

I like NET-based juices and so that's why I use those two vendors. Their quality control, service and consistency are top-notch. Now since these are NET-based juices they do need to steep a while though. Some of the juices may take up to 4-6 weeks to fully mature and develop.

I feel that too many ejuice vendors use artificial flavors and ingredients to achieve their flavor profiles. Many use sucralose as a sweetener which is a neuro-toxin and destroys the about 40-50% of the beneficial bacteria residing in our digestive systems. I myself would prefer that they use Stevia since it's natural plant-based sweetener.

I suggest you try Ahlusion and/or GoodEjuice. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Honestly you will get people who rave about a company, you try it and yuck. Take Five Pawns for instance. I see so many people who love it...I tried them all. To me they were yucky. I buy some juices but I mostly make my own. I've found that with nearly every juice company they make a few good and a few bad. I started out using Mount Baker Vapor. I loved some and hated some. Their vanilla butternut is awesome to me. I actually buy that flavor from flavor west now and make my own. My husband loves MBV peach tobacco so I get the flavor from flavor west. I've found some things they do well but others just aren't so good. But I've found this with all juice companies. I recently bought Suicide Bunny's Mothers Milk. Omg it's delicious. But I tried their others and they just don't cut it for me.

When you order blindly online you are going to get a lot of misses. Not everyone is going to love something. I am very picky. I like vanilla, sweet flavors. I've tried all these expensive custards that you see everyone rave about and I get horrible taste even after weeks of steeping. But I learned I just don't like that flavor. But... I did discover Bryce's Ejuice and wow. No misses in his juices. Perfection. But he only has around 5 flavors.

One thing I would suggest is find a B & M that sales well known juices. Test them. Find one you love then go online and order it. That's how I found suicide bunny. I have a store by me that carries almost all the high end juices. I tested them all and found maybe 4 out of 75 I love.

Tastes change. Right now I like simple flavors. For a short very short period I liked juices with multiple ingredients. That lasted about a week. Never did finish any of those. I'm hoping my simple tastes last a while because I like being content with simple. Took me a while to find a juice I liked enough to reorder. Ended up being from MBV. I've liked and reordered just about everyone of their juices I've tried. As long as they make me happy I'll keep with them. Honestly I'm glad I like their stuff. The longer I can hold out before requiring complex expensive gourmet juices the better.

I have wanted to try Nicoticket, but unfortunately they don't cater to those who prefer zero nicotine in their juices. :glare:

Nicoticket released a new flavor just today, Peanut Butter Cookie, that is available in the option of ZERO NIC that you are looking for. Maybe give that a try? Don't give up yet, you have gotten a lot of good advice here in this thread. If you like custard, as you say, you will probably like bakery and dessert flavors. Do you like to drink coffee? You may want to order a coffee flavor from one of the companies others here have recommended to you. I love a good custard and coffee vape session!

Well that's all fine and dandy, do what you gotta do to stay happy with the vape and off the smokes. Personally I will keep enjoying the many delicious flavors from MBV. It all comes down to personal preference! :vapor:

Thanks for this. Sometimes I think I must live in an alternate universe when I read the juice threads. I've had juice from a local vape shop that I started out with. I liked all three that I got, but they were pricey. I've ordered from MBV several times, and I honestly have liked every juice I bought. A few I liked more than others, so I reordered accordingly. But nothing I've purchased has been what I would call "unvapable."

If I have "cheap taste" so be it. I also wear lots of cute shoes that I get at Payless. My friends who never shop there compliment me on my shoes. Theirs cost $100+ at the mall. I'm happy with Payless myself.

It would be so boring if we all were the same.:)

I shyed away from purchasing liquid online early-on. I found a couple go-to vendors of DIY materials and never looked back. It's been +3 years since I started vaping and DIY. Recently, I questioned the flavor intensity and accuracy of my DIY. Luckily, I have a MOV B&M local to me. I tried some of their flavors and some are good and some just don't suit me. I've tried a couple other boutique liquid mixers locally and have found that what I've DIY'd for years is on par with what's being sold. I've rarely ever tossed a DIY mix (except menthol cherry=cough drop), as I know what my tastes are. Getting the percentages is the most thought intensive. It's really not a daunting task once you get the groove and learn from others in the DIY section.

I never have been able to blindly buy a consumable item. Sorry your foray in liquid purchase has led you to dissatisfaction. I hope you find something good soon and give DIY a shot. Your costs should be considerably less than mine, as you're @ 0nic (my greatest expense). As it is, my juice costs me roughly $.25/day @ ~3-5ml/day.

I have been having the same problem as the OP. I finally have found a place I can buy 5 ml bottles and customize them exactly the way I want. I tried mt baker and had so much juice I didn't like even though it is fairly inexpensive. I decided after all this time to try ECblends. I have been happy. I ordered ten flavors the first time. I went back after trying all of them and making notes about extra flavoring, sweetener, cool hit and all the different options that they offer. I have ordered the same flavor with four different options in 5 ml bottles and 0mg and have found my perfect match. At 2.50-3.10$ a bottle I can try them and not be out much if I don't like it. I know I sound like I am selling their brand but after four years I am just happy to find what I want without having to DIY.

40 bucks for 60 mil? That is actually a bit more expensive than average, especially if you aren't factoring shipping in .

I think average is around .50cents/mil

I will say this.....there is NOTHING worse as far as e-cigs are concerned......as hearing a TON of positive reviews, people ranting and raving about a vendor...and you order a couple liquids from them, only to be utterly disappointed.

I learned early on in the game....

1) When you find an e-liquid you can vape everyday, keep it in STOCK. This way, no matter what, you always have something to fall back on.

2) Always keep enough e-liquid on hand, so when new stock arrives, you can let it steep for at least a week or so. This can make a world of difference in how liquid tastes.

3) I order from a new vendor around once a month or so. This gives me a new opportunity to try out new vendors/e-liquids at a steady pace...without dropping too much money. In a now 10 month period, I've tried 13 companies.....and it gives you a strong perspective of what you like/don't like.

4) You start to get a feel of what kind of flavors you LIKE, and what you DONT like. Everytime I order from a NEW vendor....I try one e-liquid that I'm familiar with from other companies. Something simple, like watermelon, to give me a reference to compare to the companies I like. I also order something kind of "out there" that I wouldn't normally think to order. You'd be surprised! Several times this has ended up turning out to be the ONLY redeeming e-liquid I ordered.....and a few times turned out to be an everyday vape!!!

5) When trying a new vendor, don't spend too much.....and try and wait for a sale, or use a discount code. For example, I just ordered this month from Juice Mafia....they have a sale going on for $3 for 10ml. I also took advantage of a sale PLUS discount code from VelvetCloudVapor this month, saved something like $10 on a $50 order!!!
