As NativeTexan said, you'll get a lot of different responses based on everyone's individual experiences with their e-cig. Check out the post he calls out--it gives a great synopsis of your choices, but I'll throw out a quick qualifier here:
Aside from big vapor production you mentioned, are you looking for quick and easy vaping or more of a DIY experience?
Quick and easy: 2-piece models, where the cartridge and atomizer are in a single unit (cartomizer or carto) + battery (batt)
First use: Charge the battery, screw on the cartomizer and vape
- Can buy ejuice and refill if desired or just toss cartomizer and screw on another one
- Be sure to get at least 2 batteries so one can be charging while you use the other.
- You'll know in the first day if you need to order more carto's depending on how you like it and what strength nicotine works best for you.
DIY: 3-piece, separate atomizer (atty), cartridge (cart) and battery (batt):
A little more involved but these models also produce great vapor and are hugely popular, as evidenced by the posters above me...they've all recommended a 3-piece type.
First use: charge the battery, blow out the atty to remove any nasty-tasting factory primer, drip couple drops ejuice on the atty to be sure it's not dried out, screw the pieces together, put on the cart (if pre-filled; if not, fill the cart first), vape away
Typically you should get extra atomizers, carts, batteries and ejuice along with a starter kit, as the atomizer requires a little maintenance and some have reported atty's that fail prematurely. Some kits don't come with pre-filled cartridges, so you'll have to fill your own.
Whichever you choose, take the time to learn about it, and about its best practices so you don't become discouraged--if this can help you quit analogs (as it has for me), it's worth the investment in time. Also, you've come to the right place for the learning part--I can't thank enough all the people I've learned from here on this forum...they've probably helped save my life, when I think about it...
Good luck!
