I'm New and need help!

Hey guys! I spent a few hours reading this forum last night, so first I want to thank the mods, and contributing members for the massive database of information here! It is overwhelming, but definitely in a good way!

Secondly, I went to create a new account today so that I could post asking for help, and realized I already had an account So, I'm using this one that I guess I forgot I had!


Now, I am asking for help, and Im hoping a few people will read this thread and be able to guide me in the right direction.

I smoke about 15-20 cigs a day, and being in my mid-20s, and having a 3 year old , I'm looking to quit. It isn't the nicotine I want to quit, just the smoking.

A year back or so, I ordered from a company called Vapor4Life. I don't remember the model name or whatever, but it was a 2 piece e-cig, that used cartomizers. No e-liquid involved.

The e-cig itself seemed decent, but I have no real scale or other experience to judge it on.


I've been doing tons of research again, and basically I need help deciding which starter kit to buy, and where to order from.


So far, I'm thinking of getting one of the eGo models, from a place called LiteCigUSA.


This is what I want:

Price: $50-80

I'll be spending most of my day at the computer, so I'm not worried about it being bulky. I want something relatively easy to use, although I am a tech kind of guy, so I don't mind having to learn/figure out how to use the device.

I want something with a good bit of battery life, and hopefully something that I can upgrade/modify as I go along.


Can someone recommend me a place to shop/model? As I mentioned, I'm thinking about an eGo model from LiteCigUSA.

This is an excellent choice, which should suits your immediate needs.

You may wish to take a look at the shorter 650 Mah battery, as well.

I just tried the Halo Triton Tank and Triton batts and they are by far my fav for ego type set up. Threading is 808 not 501. You can use 808 cartos on the batts or the triton tank which is actually a clearo. But the thing works great, no leaks, no burnt taste the batts are long lasting. I have been vaping quite awhile and have tried about everything, even have a Provari and glass tanks, but I am impressed with this set up more so than the Twists and Kangers. Just my opinion tho bnrk

I would suggest a Spinner over the Twist but that's just my taste but the rest I completely agree with what Face Meat said!!

I have and will do business with LiteCigiusa.net;the products that they carry are very good,and at very good prices.if in-fact,if you are on the computer,you can get an ego pass through,which will allow you to plug the device into a usb in-plug and use your unit without power loss to the battery. Litecig is a very good supplier for the new users.

If anyone else has anymore suggestions/anything to add, feel free to do so, I'm like a sponge, and literally every post on this thread so far has helped me get a better picture of things , and is a great help pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks guys for verifying that the site I'm thinking about ordering from is a good choice. It sounds like I'm going to go with the Ego-C twist, and I'll choose between some of other parts you guys have suggested to go with that. THANKS AGAIN!

Another question:

I've decided to get the Joye eGo-C twist 1000mah battery.

Exactly what other components do I need to be ready to go?

I know i need e-liquids, a charger, and atomizer, is that it?

For instance, the starter kit comes with atomizer heads, and atomizer bodies. So if I decide to build my own starter kit so to speak, would I just add an atomizer, or do I need to get several parts, such as the head and the body?

That part is confusing me, because as I mentioned, the e-cig I got a few years back from Vapor4Life was only 2 pieces, the battery and the cartomizer.

If you want to be able to upgrade in the future and try different attys/cartos/tanks, the eGo is not the best choice as it limits what you can use on it. The Evic, Vamo or Zmax are all better performers than the ego twist. Plus when you need to replace the twist batteries, you will be paying $25+. With models like the Vamo, etc, the batteries cost $11 and last longer.

"The Protank is 510 threaded and will work on most 510 & eGo threaded devices and Mod's without the need for an adapter.
It also comes with a matching eGo style thread cover for Ego batteries."


So this means I can't buy the eGo-C Twist battery, and Kanger pro tank and use them together without some kind of adapter?

This is what I started with eGo-C w/ Vivi Nova Tank Starter Kit - MyFreedomSmokes.com with the 650 battery and 2.0 ml tank, If you want a variable voltage battery you could go with this kit eGo-C Twist w/ CE5 Ultimate Starter Kit. Good luck theres a lot of equipment out there and don't forget to add Add a 5pk of Vivi Nova Replacement Heads

Some ego threaded clearos will not work on other units without an adapter. Decide what delivery system/s you want to use first, cartos or clearos or carto tank, and what connection it uses, then match the battery/APV to that is what I suggest. I have tried about everything and have an assortment of adapters but still cannot get a clearo to fit a provari. There is alot out there and it takes some time to weed thru it all for sure. Twists are great but they are not long lasting, they seem to go not working pretty fast. I have about 7, 4 not working, 3 do. So it is a choice! Have fun. bnrk

They will work fine together without any adapter. The protank comes with a cone cover that will cover ego threads and give you some support for the tank.

The EVOD is also good on the twist And the Vision eGo, both low cost and easy to use. The EVOD runs a little cooler than the Vision eGo. Good luck to you!
