Okay I decided I wanna try this e-cig and am looking for a decent starter kit.
I have looked online and there are just too many sites, too many different kits, and as far as i am concerned too many chances of getting my a** burned.
I know that all the information I need is on this forum but as a noob I really don't even know where to begin sifting through the information to find the answers that I need.
I have read for about 3 hours through several different threads and am getting an idea of the terminology and the different aspects of vaping.
The problem with forums is that when you come in as a newbie you can easily visit an outdated thread, or easily take to heart the words of someone that is misinformed. You take it as the gospel because you just don't know any better.
All I really need for now is some advice on where is a good place to get a decent starter kit with everything I need.
I have read good things about the 501 but have no clue who the hell makes the 501. In my 3 hours of reading I saw about 3 different model numbers but no manufacturer names.
I know I want a manual battery. I want something that has a good kick to the vapor and tastes as close to a real cig as possible. I don't care how ugly it is (it could look like a football for all I care).
I am from the U.S. and am willing to spend $40-$50.
If yall could help me out and point me in the right direction for a good deal I would appreciate. If this thread is out of line I apologize.
I am just eager to get started cause my 3 pack a day habit is killing me and I don't really have time to troll this forum for a week or two in order to gather all the information I'll need to make a good buy.
Thanks.....................P

I can only tell you I got my first kit (and still my current #1 kit) from Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. - they do a basic starter kit (no bells n whistles just ya basics) for $35 and theres $5 shipping (over $59 shipping is free).
I dont work for them - different state n all that - but Ive been very happy with my 'stuffs' from them. They also do some nice liquid (the BASIC range of juices, not the ordinary ones they sell)
When I was but a newbie myself I got a recommendation to use them, and Ive never regretted it :)

Remember all PV have a learning curve, will NOT taste like a cigarette, and need to be used a little differently than cigarettes, but the flavors are great and the hand to mouth mimicry of actual smoking is..beyond price really :)

CaptJay probably said it best so far. "Remember all PV have a learning curve, will NOT taste like a cigarette, and need to be used a little differently than cigarettes"

I started with a Volcano and the first day or so was rather disappointed. Reading here and on the Volcano forums, I learned how to use the darn thing and it really works. Next I upgraded (or added to my collection) a Magma (which is a 510) and a 510 kit from CigNot. Took a day to get them right too. They work a little differently than the Volcano.

I use both types of PV daily. I think each model / type has it's strong points and it's weaknesses, so for me, since I have both, I use both. If I had to do it over, I'd start with the 510 and add the Volcano, but either way, it works.

What ever kit you do decide on, be sure to get at least one extra atty and one or two extra batteries and some juice.

I agree with the kr808 and the 510 as being the best for a starter kit in your price range. I have tried both and I much prefer the 510 even though it's more of a hassle it's a lot cheaper and puts out more vapor. It's really not that much more work for a better result.

I would suggest Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. they did me right and my buds that have ordered were all happy too. They are super fast shippers and they sell the real 510's.

My second suggestion would be Manual 510 DISPOSABLE E-CIG KIT with Blue LED

This is the cheapest way to see if you would like to get into vaping. They are "disposable" but you can recharge them and for the price, heck the atty is worth that alone. Plus they ship fast and have super cheap shipping. I would buy two, that way when one battery is charging you can still vape on the other.

Buy liquid with the money you have saved. With your limited budget (like mine) you will need to be a little frugal.

I wish I could point you in the direction of some super cheap liquids but I don't know anyone that is having a super deal right now. Someone else might help you out on that.

I know that one of the mistakes I made was placing my first order from China. In the month it took to get it in I already spent a ton on smokes. Once you're stocked up ordering from China is cool, if you can actually find it cheaper.

My experience says that the key to quitting is to make sure you get lots of vapor so you don´t miss the smoking experience. I bought the 801 from Awesome Vapor and have not smoked in 50 days. I have made 3 orders since my inicial kit. batteries don´t last and you need fresh batteries to get a good cloud of vape. Atomizers clog up so you need to change them. I just ordered a chuck and can´t wait to get that. Get into the art of vaping like you did tobacco and hit that pipe hard. Start with high levels of nicotine for best results. Buy some vegetable glycerine and add a few drops to your PG to get more vapor affect. later romping

Yep, cignot is cheap & quick and carry the Joye 510 in no-box, pass-through, and PCC kits.

Other manufacturers make compatable 510's, but Joye is the original. Joye will also rebrand the things and even do customer driven design changes. This leads to Tornados and Magmas, so, yes it can get very confusing.

Also, get some small bottles of juice in different strengths and flavors to start with. It will be a bigger help to starting out than you can know at this point but may already suspect from your reading.

I agree with reading Wonderful World of Vaping in the ECF Library too. It helped me when starting more than any other posts.

I agree , the kr808 kit or the 510 from Cignot
You can get the kr808 kit from vapor4life.com or the 510 from cignot.com
they are available other places too but these do have good prices and great customer service.
the kr808 is a 2 piece cartomizer system
the cignot 510 is a 3 piece atomizer system
Both preform very well, and both are refillable.
the 510 does require a bit more fiddling, but if you like playing with things it is great.

Well, my significant other likes playing with things so she should be right at home with the 510 :D

BTW. I want to be wherever that avatar is!!
With my 510 of course.

Alright...Thanks for the quick replies. I think I will be going with the 510 starter kit from cignot that costs $35.
I would like to order some liquid too. Any suggestions on anything that tastes close to a real smoke or at least has a good kick to it. Im not much into flavored stuff but I do like a nice cigar every now and again.
They are just too many options for me to order blindly from their site so any insight from someone would be appreciated. Be specific please.
