You really shouldn't drive yourself crazy but you really should stay away from some of those pricey brands mentioned earlier. I will say that I have heard good things about Smokestik. They are pricey and I have read that the battery life is short . They do have their own forum here so you should do some reading.
As for the 808 vs 510 debate ... It comes up over and over and each has their fans. In my opinion if you go with a 510 get the ego. The 510 batts are 180mah... They are puny. It will drive you mad even with a PCC. I have one that I use as a loaner kit for people. I am not a fan .
Go with an 808 ... It has the cigarette form ... Longer lasting batts... And runs at 3.7 volts versus the 510 or eGo 3.1 volts. I love my 808 and still use it after 8 months. The key is using a good cartomizer. It makes ALL the difference. Also you can use a 901 atomizer with a drip tip
(manual batt for dripping) on an 808 to test flavors before you devote a cartomizer to new juices. I personally find the throat hit on the 510/eGo lacking without using low resistance cartomizers. Good luck on your choice!

hi,
what is HV?
i hear a little here and there about mods but can't understand if it's about saving on juice or better vapor?
i'm also looking for my first and if there are mods to be done then would be cool to get one that i can mod to start
thanks

HV = High Volt
To me and probably the rest of the world, a mod(modification) means you take something store bought and you drill a hole in it or fill it with something new or whatever. You go all Dremel on the thing. Like me taking a drill bit to the cone of my Riva because I'm not getting enough air flow. THAT'S A MOD.

But in the e-cig world people use the word "mod" to describe anything you can attach to a standard atomizer or cartomizer. Which usually means a bigger battery tube/assembly and maybe a juice feeder. By that definition and eGo(or Riva) would be a mod. The lingo is confusing and I wish people would stop calling them mods. They're pretty much a totally new PV(personal vaporizer).

Well first of all, a Joye510 starter kit won't cut it. You'll have to order two, b/c you need back-up parts (especially the spare charger), and the most economical way to do that is to order 2 starter kits
I bought the 510 starter kit with PCC and also a pass-thru 3 months ago and still chain vapin strong! I never use my wall-charger, just the PCC charged from my lapt-top and I'm good to go all day. I use the pass-thru for when I'm studying, mostly at night and I also use it to "dry-burn" some of my atty's. I think these would be great if you're really trying to stay with the analog size (they're a little bigger)
